I just spoke to him on the phone the other day, and he's busy as hell, from what I gathered--pitches, projects, DVD production stuff, and twirling that damn mustache.
Is there a list of all the Excelsior or Captain Sulu related novels? The Captain's Daughter, The Sundered & Forged in Fire come to mind. Are there others? I would think Excelsior would be a successfully lit series. I wonder why it didn't become its own series.
Those are the only print novels that center primarily on Captain Sulu of the Excelsior. But he and his ship make appearances in Mere Anarchy: Its Hour Come Round, The Fearful Summons, The Ashes of Eden, and Burning Dreams. There are also three Captain Sulu audiobooks: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Captain_Sulu_Adventures And there was "The Tabukan Syndrome," a storyline in DC's second TOS comic depicting Sulu's first mission as captain (incompatible with Forged in Fire), which was collected in the trade paperback Tests of Courage.
Sorry, couldn't resist... And to answer your question: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/USS_Excelsior_(NCC-2000) Lists all appearances, I believe... ETA: Ah, Christopher beat me to it...
A new Excelsior novel would be pretty epic. After how good Swallow did w/ Cast No Shadow, I wouldn't mind seeing him write a Sulu/Excelsior-centric book.
Great. I have them and will read them once I get caught up on current TNG era TP Trek. I'm currently on Warpath in the DS9 with 2 books to go in that, then I plan to take a break from DS9 and MU (or maybe I'll read al the recent MU - not sure yet). Then I go to Articles of the Federation through Destiny through the two TP books I have. Then I plan to read all the "historical" books next Lost Era books, Cast No Shadow, Battle for Betazed and the Sulu books then. That's on my to-read pile. Love the cover and premise. Yeah. I read that "back in the day".
