It's gonna be Khan (pretty damn sure now with the pics)

It's Kahn, and I bet that coat is made of fine Corinthian leather.
Personally I hope he's a badass version of Harry Mudd. We know that TPTB like to make badass characters.

There are definitely quite a few reasons why a character who appears to be human could have enhanced strength; we are talking about science fiction after all. Other than the strength, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of Khan. I for one am happy for the mystery.

It should be obvious to everyone that this is the salt vampire that has taken on the form of Gary Mitchell ("but only for a moment, James....").....

Its a Star Fleet uniform of some kind. Theres another picture with a second guy wearing the same coat and outfit. You can see the little Enterprise/Star fleet emblem patch on his chest as well. The pants and boots are identical to Spocks.

Could be Khan and they gave him Starfleet duds to wear or he stole them. But it could be Captain Garth going bonkers. Or Mitchell, or number of other guys. Theres nothing obvious except that we have two or more people wearing some kind of Starfleet outfits who get into a fight with Spock and Uhura.

Maybe it is Garth. Perhaps the historic Battle of Axanar(circa 2250) happened in both timelines and Garth slowly went bad and mad in both as well. Who knows.

Exactly. Maybe those are field/Away team uniforms and Spock and Uhura have made contact with Garth and some of his people on the surface of some planet but soon discovered that Lord Garth has gone insane and try to subdue him. A Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now type of story, with a missing Garth and crew, but when they are found, it becomes clear that the good Captain has gone off the deep end.

Theres alot you can read into these pics.

Anyone see the special video shot by Pegg and Urban? The one taken during a break on the set? Funny stuff. T'Bonz posted the link on Trektoday.

Yay, the colored skies are back!
Well, the special effects green screens are back. No hint yet whether what is superimposed into that space is a colored sky, or an alien landscape, or maybe just the rest of the "space barge" that the action is taking place in.

There's an outside chance that he really is Khan after all, and they're dodging the political correctness issue by rewriting the character so that in this timeline, Khan is some white guy who happens to have the name Khan as a title (perhaps in homage to the original Khan, never awakened from his exile on the Botany Bay).

Stretching, I know. But stretching is good for the joints. ;)

Hollywood does some shittastic things that make me want to strangle everyone in that town. But if they do this? My faith in J.J.'s ability to handle this franchise will take a very severe hit. P.C. garbage already infests enough of the entertainment industry. Just look at the recent developments with Derpy on MY LITTLE PONY. Bronies everywhere are having a collective meltdown, and I can't say I blame 'em.

It may be a Starfleet uniform but the guy behind him is his stunt double, not a cohort. There's another pic which features a guy dressed identically to Quinto, down to the Vulcan fringed haircut. Presumably the next scene required both stunt doubles, rather than the actors.
