Whatever happened to Starship Exeter?

Just curious ... The Exeter website indicates a 2-hour behind-the-scenes DVD will be sent to anyone who donates more than $25. Is that still true? Is the DVD still available?

I hope so. And I hope someone is checking the emails over there. I've moved twice since donating.

Well, when I donated years ago, I received a DVD of the Savage Empire.

I donated early to the second episode and what was sent out was "The Making of Starship Exeter: The Savage Empire" in a nice cover, but there was an extra, unlabeled disk as well and this was an unadvertised DVD version of "The Savage Empire".

I believe I also donated to the second episode, and for that names were to be added to the bridge set's wall plaque, IIRC. And the next "Making of..." DVD, perhaps?

Yea, I had the same thing, I donated and all the email mentioned was a "Making of" video, which was quite interesting as well and worth the donation just by itself. I also received a blank disk which turned out to be "The Savage Empire". Actually just watched it a few months ago when we moved in the house we're in now and I unpacked all the vcr tapes, dvd's and blu-rays. I donated to the second episode as well, but it's been so long I no longer have the email or even remember what it stated you'd get.

Well I hope he bought himself a Tressaurian cheesburger.

Hopefully he'll get angry enough to bring Exeter back. Weight or age don't bother me.

So, today I went walking and decided to dial up a podcast to listen to. I remembered that there was a short series of them done for Exeter's TTI. They were produced by it's director Scott Cummings. They are fun, humorous, and somewhat informative. They also offer some candid interviews with the principals involved. Dennis even makes an appearance. If you haven't heard them, I suggest heading over to the apple store and searching Starship Exeter. One note though, some episodes don't play. Not sure why. I started with episode 3.

How many years has this been in post production now?

From Exeter's website:

"Filming for STARSHIP EXETER 'The Tressaurian Intersection' at Austin Studios wrapped on August 1, 2004."

So, seven and half years of post-production.
