I tried the hat thing. It didn't work out right.

Oh God, it made you lazy-eyed!

Did I mention I have a good insurance plan?

:shifty:

But ... but ... I was going for having cut off my head! No head for a hat, get it? Get it?!

I was going for cross eyed! Got that wrong, too, apparently. :D

And does your insurance specifically cover virtual Valentines picked randomly by Kestra's cat?

Oh, so you're saying the wedding is still off because of the silence thing?

To stick with the hat theme (sorry for the low quality, these came off an old, crappy phone).....

The local community college had an shooter response simulation and some students volunteered to act as victims. Everyone had to wear these helmets in case the law enforcement opened fire around or at us (they didn't know who the "bad guy" was, and though they were firing fake bullets, something was coming out of that barrell)

I will put a lot of effort into doing very lazy things. I was moving rooms in my old dorms, I wanted to get all my hats in 1 trip, and they wouldn't stay on the cart. So I wore them all.

This was another cool pic I found... I had never seen a praying mantis before, and this little guy had sneaked into the dorms one fall night of 2010. I also got to see a walking stick that night, which I hadn't seen in close to 10 years.

I love praying mantises. I used to capture and collect them as a little kid. My all-time favorite insect, hands down.

Apparently, now it's mantis pic time!

My darling little 3 year old niece, Annabelle. She wouldn't have been 3 yet when this was taken, but almost!

That mantis looks like a female who's about ready to lay an egg sac. I love photos of mantises and mantids. They bring me back to my childhood.

I loved them my whole life, and then... I found out that they sometimes kill and eat hummingbirds.

</3

^ Holy crap. Eating snakes...? That's just a whole other level. Those things are creepy... in an awesome sort of way.

I'm a birder, and I feed hummingbirds when they're here. It broke my heart to find out that they stick to feeders and grab them when they land/hover.:( Now I'm paranoid of having them in my garden. If I see one I move it somewhere else.
