Well, I believe that there are very few people not worth getting to know. If any at all.

I admire that philosophy. I really do. I've got to give you credit for living it. It's healthy.

If I weren't so jaded sometimes I'd probably be the same way. I try my best to give most people a chance but it doesn't always work out. I've been burned and let down by my fair share of human beings over the years so I take a very cautious approach most of the time.

You obviously didn't follow me long enough on facebook.... the only reason I've bothered to get to know myself is because I'm kinda stuck with me and can't figure out how to trade in for a better model. ;)

I know that feeling. I get really attached to people but that also means I get hurt a lot. Luckily the rest of you make it worthwhile for me. :) I was also speaking in terms of people often having sides to them that we don't realize at first. It's not often that I find myself thinking, I wish I hadn't gotten to know that person.

Oh no, I enjoyed your Facebook updates! I just couldn't stay on Facebook any longer. Trust me, it was nice getting to see more of your personality. :)

Yeah, not a jab at anyone who uses it but I just couldn't keep using it when there were so many things I disliked/disagreed with. I feel a lot better since deleting my account. I'm on G+ for now so we'll see if I stick with that or quit that as well.

Geek crafts! I desgined a Sherlock cross stitch:

Very cool, KM!

My mom was great at cross-stitching things. I always wanted to learn to do it, but never got around to having her teach me in the years before she passed. I'm always floored by the complexity and quality of really good cross-stitching. It's an unsung art form in its own right.

Cross stitch isn't hard to learn, but it's hard to master. I've been doing it for fifteen years now, and still consider myself a novice! :p

And MLB- argh!

better be careful Me-Ike..the dirty old man behind you is checking you out!

BTW nice pictures, I've been to that museum, but it was LONG ago..back when the Iron Lady was P.M....

I guess the ladies are just a lot more skilled at hiding their nerdiness and geekiness than we gentlemen. At least half the attendees at my local sci-fi and comic book conventions are girls and women so I guess the fairer sex just projects a more convincing cloaking device to hide their 'shipping and mania over this-and-that. Women are masters at concealing their true feelings about certain subjects until the right moment comes to reveal them.

And then they go to a con or post on a message board. And the gloves come off and they manage to outgeek even the guys and put them to shame.

Yep. I know so many women who are ultrageeks and ubernerds, and they would grind my nerdiness into dust if we went head to head. I love them. :adore:

There's nothing like a cute girl in Spock ears or a Slave Leia costume to get the blood going. The more a woman is in touch with her more playful and whimsical side the more attractive she usually is as a human being.

The first hardcore Doctor Who I ever knew was a woman. She was also into Blakes 7. (Jokingly called The daughter Servalan never had ;) ) In addition to being a fan she was heavily into con organizing and even chaired one once.

Yes. Humor, imagination, creativity, all of these things are very attractive.

Wow that's a LOT of snow for not having it in 25 years. When we have snow it's like icing sugar and it makes the news.. not impressive like that.

Thanks,Seeker, now and then I do get some goot shot :)

Here's the Trevi Fountain under the snow:
