My first name is Locutus, and I was born in a tiny little village called Bored. The whole Star Trek thing was purely a coincidence. Imagine my surprise after joining here when I found out they had used the name Locutus in an episode!

My parents called me "One who supplants" which is naff!
I've had this user name since 1998 when it was my IRC handle. I picked it because I liked the sound of it and have used it pretty much everywhere ever since.
Dances with Wolves was already taken.
When I first joined the board, I had recently finished watching ENT for the first time. Shran was hands down my favorite character from the show. I noticed that a number of people at the time had usernames of Admiral *whatever*, so I made mine Admiral Shran.

I was born on the internet with this name and avatar, fully formed but very small and unable to speak or feed myself.
Back in 1993, I got my first modem-equipped computer and decided to join AOL. The instruction book said to be ready with three usernames, since my first choice might be taken, so I was ready with Diogenes, Baby Driver and something else I can't remember. Needless to say, all three were taken. The system tried to add some random numbers to the end, but I didn't like that idea, so I added my first and second initials-- RJ is one of my real-life nicknames-- and RJDiogenes was born. Now, nineteen years later, it's not only my name everywhere on the Internet, but it's also the name of my business and copyrighted.

I had a puppet kangaroo I'd named Mimic. I don't remember much of my reasoning, but it probably was the first thing that sprang to mind.
Oh, I used to have 47 tacked on there, because everyone seemed to have numbers following their handles. I chopped those off at some point.

It's funny. I was behind in my BSG viewing when you changed your username to TighsEye so when I finally got to the episode in question it finally made sense to me!
