Creatures Commandoes is an old DC property that's been rebooted a couple of times. It's basically a military strike force team composed of a vampire, a werewolf, a Frankenstein-like monster, and, at various points, some other creatures.
Amazon have Rise of the Lycans (and 1 copy of Evolution at the moment) for relatively normal prices. The first one though is rather pricier. Blood Enemy (The non film one) can also be bought there second hand. I'd recommend them. I haven't seen one for the new flick though
well with the new movie coming out hopefully they will reprint them. I the underworld unvierse they remind me on the white wolf vampire series kindred the embraced.
still not sure about the new Underworld movie... the pics i've seen of it so far make it look like Selene stole Jack's coat from Torchwood :s M
I love the new grey coat, it looks as though she'll only be wearing it part of the movie though, she escapes with her Death Dealer coat (I have one similar to it now, yay) and picks that one up later. Most of the film though she's without coat at all. And I checked Amazon, the first novel is still available new from users, for nearly £100 ($200).
I did say it was pricier Play also have Evolution, Blood Enemy and Rise at a reasonably rate. No sign of Underworld 1 at there or any of the other shops like W H Smith or Waterstones(even second hand). Best bet for the first book is probably Ebay UK or the local charity stores. Here's one - but it'll be an import and second hand (no picture of the condition though) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Underworld-Greg-Cox-/350517868259?pt=US_Fiction_Books&hash=item519c7e36e3
I was hoping they'd be put out for the Kindle closer to the release of the 4th film but I'll check the second hand book shops I know of.
does any know if they are planing a sequal to van helsing? which is another great movie with vampires in it.
There was going to be a series, set in the Transylvanian village, with another similar character from the Holy Order being sent to Sheriff it, but it never started production.
found out that the Dark Shadows is on netflix in it's entirety original series. 5 episodes in and loving it.
Am I reading Netflix right - Dark Shadows had 1245 episodes? I'm not sure I'm up for that kind of committment!
well finally finished interview with a vampire by anne rice thought the book was way better than the movie. they left so much of it out. I am now onto the vampire lestat.
If you like Interview you should definitely enjoy the other two in the original Chronicles trilogy. Vampire Lestat is a great narrative biopic of his life and leads into Queen of the Damned which is a pretty solid novel with a good plot. The rest of the series is a real letdown after that, a pretty poor effort. I prefer to treat the trilogy as a standalone plot and only read those.
well I am all ready on lestat and plan to read all her vampire books along with her witches series. also looking forward to her new werewolf novel the wolf gift.
Good luck, I couldn't really stand most of them, Pandora (not technically part of the main series, a side novel) was passible and summarised several of the main books in the opening chapters. After she started writing the Jesus series novels I gave up on her work mostly. The only Vampire centric series I read is the above mentioned Saga of the Noble Dead, into its 3rd "series" as of a couple of weeks ago, but it's moved beyond Vampires to a larger enemy so the focus has shifted. The first series (books 1-6) are more conventional with more Vampires as the bad guys.
