Yeah there was an extended trailer for it before the film, but I'm not all that fond of Cage.

The Fades isn't really vampire, more a mash up of Ghost, Vampire and Zombie. I really liked it, but it had its low points. And it looks doubtful for a second series, though it does tell a more or less complete story in the first series anyway.

@ Timothy - I'd recommend the Vampire Federation books by Scott Mariani. (Uprising and The Cross).

Unfortunately, I can see some of his books at the B&N site, but not these two. They are out for the Kindle in the UK, so I suppose it's only time:)

Well, they aren't specifically Fae, as in Dresden Files or True Blood fairies. They're just using the term to describe supernatural beings in general. So far we've seen a Succubus (Bo), a Werewolf (Dyson), a Siren (Hale), whatever Trick is, The Morrigan, who gave off a definite Vampire vibe, and now a Will-O-The-Wisps, and a couple of Dullahan/Headless Horseman.
If your interested, they do have a "FaeQ" on the SYFY site, which features some quick info on a whole bunch of the different supernatural beings that are involved in the show.

    well here's something cool:

Amber Benson <( the girl who played Tara on buffy the vampire slayer is now a writer in the parnormal fiction universe's.)

    Caliope Reaper-Jones series:

    1) Death's Daughter
    2) Cat's Claw
    3) Serpent's Storm
    4) How to be Death <( will be out feb.28)

I know it's not a vampire series but sounds like a fun series none the less.

I haven't even managed to see True Blood season 4 yet and Deborah Ann Woll just posted a photo on her Facebook about season 5. Her, some of the production staff and some live wolves outside the studio.

Seems to be a hint to the werewolves making another appearance.
