or, "Cheeses is just alright with me".
I was just looking up some of my favorite kinds of cheese, and found that most of them are made in the U.S. This was surprising, as I was sure some of them originated in other countries. I love cheese, though. I have a particular fondness for "dry" cheeses. You know, crumbly, firm cheese. Some of my favorites are:
Parmesan
Swiss
Muenster
Cheddar (Sharp!)
Colby
Of those 5, 3 are found in the U.S. (I bolded them). Does the U.S. manufacture a lot of cheese, and if they do, how much do they export? If you live outside of the U.S., and have had cheese from here, what is your general opinion on it?
Also, of course, what are your favorite cheeses?!
