College Football 2011 Discussion

He sounded like a sick, delusional man who needs to be locked away. His attorney is incompetent beyond belief if his only intention was to create doubt about his client's guilt. He had to have another ulterior motive for allowing him to do the interview. He had to. It's too incompetent otherwise. He'll never stop. BTW, here's a link to a report of Chief of State College Police disputing the "anonymous e-mail" by McQueary. Basically calling him out as a liar.
McQueary told us nothing

As fascinating as this all is, there needs to be a gag order in place that applies to all participants and likely witnesses. Everybody is jockeying for their own position so maybe it'll even out, but there's no concept of truth here anymore.

Not surprising at all. He has gotten death threats for what he did or didn't do.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious the e-mail was leaked by McQueary himself. I'm sure he's in hell at this point, but it's a hell of his and Sandusky's making. If he'd done the right thing, or at least quit the program when he realized the campus police hadn't done anything, he might be hirable by a Division I program after he's inevitably canned. By staying, he's undermined his moral credibility. Yeah, Sandusky was still hanging around campus, but I couldn't turn down that plum position on staff, and I played in a charity golf tournament of his in 2003, and so on and so forth. Never said a word though I knew he was working with PSU youth camps and, of course, The Second Mile. Who's going to hire MM now? He's toxic.

Iowa State 37, OSU 31.

That was a hell of a game... And to think most people weren't paying attention to it

I was paying attention to it. :( No excuses. The Cowboy's offense just misfired on everything. I cannot believe my eyes. They go in and score in OT, they get the ball first in the 2nd OT and Brandon Weeden of all people throws a tipped pass. Intercepted. Of course, it shouldn't have gotten to that point. Joseph Randle fumbles twice at critical junctures of the game??? Are you kidding me? Killed all the momentum. No excuse for that. Mr. Reliable Quinn Sharp misses a 37 yarder-though it went over the upright. We got hosed on that.....but once again, it shouldn't have been than close. The bus breaks down and a third of the team doesn't get to the field to warm up until after 6 pm....I just can't believe that this is the same offensive machine that put 66 on Texas Tech in a swirling wind that lasted all day. Had a national championship within your grasp and you couldn't beat miserable little Iowa State. They should be embarrassed. No excuses. Now we get what? A boring LSU/Alabama rematch? Dullsville.

Of course, when you wake up and find out that your womens head basketball coach and his assistant died in a plane crash yesterday afternoon, it's not a good omen for the day. Can't believe that shit happened to the university again.

All in all, a shit day. And I have to give a presentation for my son of a bitch boss at 8 am. I have to get up at 6. Terrific. :scream:

My Cowboys....you blew it. You flat out blew it.

I just flew in to Tulsa to spend Thanksgiving with my parents. The bar we were at for dinner was in tears. Absolutely devastated.

I hope Baylor beats OU. I hate OU.
I hope USC beats Oregon. I hate USC. (But I need Oregon to lose.) ;)

Roll Tide! Do we move up to #2 again?

Everybody hates OU except OU fans. They're entitled shit heads.

I can believe the bar was in tears considering everything that happened to the university today. Pretty shit day long before the football game. Damn, I can't believe it happened again. Coach Budke was a good man.

Assuming things go as expected this weekend, Alabama should be #2. This development should fire the team up enough to really put a beating on Georgia Southern (bad time to play a weakling) and Auburn next week. They need the style points. OSU'll likely drop well back in the 1-loss pack as ISU's such a weak opponent and even a win in Bedlam won't likely be enough to put them back in the race. That Texas Tech loss is as poison as the ISU one. Thanks, Tubbs.

I'm holding out the foolish hope Houston Nutt'll pull a miracle out of his ass and beat LSU today, but the chances of Ole Miss doing that are slim and none. The Razorbacks have a better chance Friday to beat them. Either gives Bama a shot at getting back into the SEC championship game against Georgia. If they back into the BCS game, okay, but I really think a team should be a conference champ to have a shot at being the national one.

Georgia Southern is no pushover. If they're not careful it could be a close game.

LSU will probably roll over Ole Miss, but they could easily get tripped up facing Arkansas or Georiga/South Carolina. These next two weeks will be interesting.

Saban mentioned Appalachian State beating Michigan twice in his Monday press conference, so he's working to keep that possibility in the players' minds. Several have noted Georgia Southern's option offense makes things tougher though Nico Johnson felt it was a good warm-up for the Auburn offense.

Georgia Southern is 9-1 and ranked #3 in the FCS. They've already locked up their conference championship. Alabama is still heavily favored, but I'd like to see a good game.

Is it too much to ask that both teams lose the Scandal Bowl today?
I'd like to see Penn State win. It's too much to watch those kids suffer because of what happened.

I also hate tOSU more than I hate Oklahoma and USC. (Gotta hate at least one team in every conference!)

Jay Paterno said that if Penn State wins the Big 10, they're going to put a post-it note on the trophy with JoePa's name.
