Paradon- Your ass and mouth are cross-wired! Get that checked out!

Or, maybe I'm just Asian. Asian are notorious for be straightforward...particularly people from Thailand. For instance, they wouldn't use euphermism for fat; they would just say you're fat and never even bother using the word big or overweight... [chuckle]

And they're not obsessed with age like westerners...at least when saying someone is looks old.

Indians can be really blunt too, but that doesn't mean it isn't rude. And if you know you're dealing with people from another culture and the standards are different, shouldn't you acknowledge that?

It's not really a huge deal because Bonz is remarkably thick-skinned but it wasn't a polite thing to say regardless, and you may want to rethink such comments in the future.

Not in my culture...that isn't rude. We do tell joke like this in my culture, but this wasn't really a joke, and it isn't rude either in my culture. Some people from Thailand are blunter than I am. But I know what you are saying about other cultures not understand it, but I wasn't thinking when I type it. I wasn't borned in the U.S. or a western country, so it kindda slip sometimes because English isn't my first language. When I was in the junior high school, I got in trouble for asking how old my teacher was... It isn't a big deal in my country, but I didnt' know that at the time...

Sorry if I offended anyone!

What I wore on Halloween night. I made this.

Reminds you of your youth?

Wow. For some reason I thought you were a lot younger than that.

 I'm 53.

Being on this BBS has aged me. ;) :D

Did you have a pattern? I couldn't make anything even close to that!

I did. For the hat, I had more of a rough guide and I freelanced most of it. I added a veil and the headband this year. I bought the necklace.

There are slippers covered with the same green velveteen; I also freelanced sewing that. I may yet add some gems to those. You can't see them in the photo, obviously.

What an odd thing to say.
Yeah, that's not something you generally say to people.

I'm used to that. Trek fans upon occasion come out with odd things. In fact, at a convention last week, here was the convo with someone on FB I was meeting in person for the first time:

Him: "You need to take down your FB picture?"
Me: "Oh? Why?"
Him: "You look much better in person."
Me, laughing. "It could be worse. You could say that I look better on FB."

K K, LOVE that cake. Sheer cake decorating skills envy going on here.

Kelso, love the costume. I miss having little girls to dress up for Halloween.

Officer: Great autumn pictures. One of the suckiest things about living in the tropics is that I so very much miss autumn. Those pictures are lovely. I get so homesick in October.

Squiggy: Kiss it! I guess it could be worse. I could have been wearing some cavewoman outfit. :p

I'm down in Ashville NC, here for a movie shoot. Can't discuss which movie, so please don't ask. However my mom and dad only live an hour from here. Dropped the kids off at Grandma and Grandpa's a few hours ago. Then wife and I drove up to the Grove Park Inn, where we are now. First time being away from the boys for an extended period of time. However before we left Grandpa gave my son a drive on his tractor and here are a few shots.

I know he's going to get Grandpa to give him more rides. I also look forward to taking some pictures of the amazing mountains, the colors of the changing season and incredible Inn.

It just looks like the tree is waiting to reach out and grab you when your back is turned.

Either that or there's a Weeping Angel at the base of the trunk. ;)

Looks freakier in the photo than it did in person!

Astonishing!! :techman:

Cheers mate. :)

These are GORGEOUS photos, An Officer! Thank you for bringing a little bit of autumn to my morning!

My pleasure. :)

I'll swap you right now.

Hey, Bonzie, when you switch back from the goolie name, you should totally add the exclamation mark. T'bonz! has a more commanding look to it.

One really needs camouflage if one means to hide in the trees..your orange pants will, however, keep you safe from hunters.

Really, very nice pics Boco

 I was there to work. Not to play hide and seek :p
And I do have camouflage clothes:

Yes you do, but they aren't hiding much ;)..

Seriously, what do you do that has you climbing trees for work?
