The Walking Dead Season 2 Discussion *Spoilers*

I was wondering why there wasn't anyone around with O-positive blood, who could donate for A-positive Carl. O-positive is the most common blood type.

Is it common for people to know their blood type?
Also common for them not to, so it wouldn't be surprising when someone didn't know either (Though, personality type/lifestyle contributes to many not knowing)

Heh, the Walking Dead is rather similar to BSG. I never thought of that too much before. BSG had much better defined characters at this point, though.

What do you mean at this point? BSG had way more episodes to develop its characters when it got halfway through its second season. Only nine TWD episodes have aired thus far!

I'm finding myself really enjoying the characters on TWD right now. It is one of the best dramas currently on cable.

I think Sidious618 was counting episodes, not seasons. Regardless, I am not sure I agree. I think both shows have about the same amount of character definition to this point.

If they were in the military, given blood or needed it. Why else would someone run the test?
We did it in high school science class.

Shane trying to take over Rick's family when he thought Rick was dead was simply the next step in that process: becoming Rick
Interesting you should say this. Since watching this episode I've been wondering if maybe they're keeping Shane around and having him go in this direction because TPTB want to keep their hero noble. In the comic Rick goes to some pretty dark places. Using Shane to take on this aspect of Rick's journey gives us the drama without sacrificing the hero's moral high ground.

I was thinking the same thing, that would explain keeping him around and the writters could very easily lead Shane down the same path of self destruction that Rick travels in the comics. That would give us the same tone as the comics, without making the 'family man' have to get evil.

Btw, what do you guys think is going on with the zombie in the well next week?

If you follow the comic book series the farmer, Herschel who's also the VET IIRC, also is keeping zombies on the farm in capativity. So it could be related to that.

Sigh. Everyone, please keep in mind that the "Spoilers" tag in the subject line is to refer to unhidden spoilers for the tv series. If we're going to mention specific details from the comics, particularly future events, then please use spoiler code to maintain respect for those individuals who are watching the show but have not read the comics.

If you're a fan of the show and haven't read the comics yet shame on you.

I have read the comics (though I am currently a little behind). However, there are many people on this board who are watching the show but haven't read the comics. Whether or not that's a matter of "shame" is immaterial to the need to do our best not to spoil possible future events for those individuals.

I'm a big fan of the show, but I haven't had a chance out the comics yet. I want to, I just haven't gotten a chance to read any of them yet.
