Those are some great pics, luv'! You wont believe how much i want to see that in person right now.

This one is an oldie. I took it almost 7 years ago while on a business trip to Beirut, Lebanon. I just had my crappy little 2.0 megapixel point and shoot but I really like how the setting sun hit the buildings in this one.

I love shots like this, where the sky is all dark and evil and the sun illuminates everything in front of it. We get that kind of imagery during the summer in Virginia sometimes, but not so much here in LA. :(

My mates family used to live in Beirut. They left when it went to hell in a hand basket in the eighties. Beautiful city. I always wanted go go there. My arabic will never be good enough though.

There are so many places I want to see in the middle east, hoping one day in the future to get to visit them.

Seeker! I was so impressed with the image i didn't even read your caption! I love Beirut. I went there as a kid, but barely remember it -- but its' where my dad's family is originally from. Thank you for posting such a great photo!

It's so sad that a lot of the history is either lost or going to be lost. The thought of missing out on being able to witness what is left is truly frustrating.

Yeah mate, good idea. Just do it when you lot and the Arabs aren't taking potshots at each other...

Now we need a picture of you being out standing in your field. :p

I have a friend (well, it's been a few years since I saw him last) whose family did the same thing. (He's half Dutch, half Canadian, was born in Beirut, grew up in France, and has an English accent. I was always amused when people we met at bridge tournaments tried to guess where he was from.)

Very nice. More reasons why I would love to visit Rome, and Italy in general, when I finally take another vacation to Europe.

visit Italy for its history and food...
just tell me when you come, so that I'll leave the country that period...
:p
kidding

Just a few pics from my friend's wedding last night. Definitely one of the best times I've ever had.

All the Groom's Favorite Men:

My roommate and me towards the end of the night:

I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too busy dancing like a mad man all night to care. I'm sure a bunch of pictures will inevitably appear on facebook in the next few days.

The offer still stands. :techman: ;)

I took this one in the morning before my wife had a chance to put up my daughter's hair.
