Anyone? Wanna try and peg down the year the new season of MadMen is set in.

Can you identify the year or was the body the same through 65-70?

Usually car models don't change much within generations. There's probably differences, small ones, inside those model years but you'd need a better look at the car, it's inside, and know more about its engine and other mechanical components to know which specific year it was within a generation.

Actually, most American cars changed body styles quite noticeably every 2-3 years from the first postwar models up until the 1980s. There’s no way you could mistake a 1962 Chevy for a 1959 model, for example.

That’s definitely a 1965 Caddy in the picture. The ’65 and ’66 models had the same sheetmetal, but you can tell which year it is by the taillight design.

Its rather a -68. 'Cause the one in the shop is a -68 and has the same taillight (as far as I can see.).

EDIT: I withdraw me statement. You're right, mate, its a -65. Checked with me mate just to be sure. Replaced taillights from a -65, but the car is a -68.

Aw, shoot. So I went and made this comparison photo for nothing. :sigh:
