A few shots from today, which was a perfect summers day, not too hot, not too cold, and clear skies (mostly)...

They DO say if you make faces one day it'll freeze that way.

Nice pics, Flukie. ;)

EDIT:

While I'm here (and to prevent a double post), I was hoping to get some help. A few hours ago I started working on a 53 year old family photo, trying to restore it (using Paint Shop Pro X2). I've done the best I can to eliminate scratches, tears, discoloration and tape marks, but I'd like to make it more true to life color. Now, short of coloring it all by hand, is there another option?

Here's the before picture:

Here's the after picture:

Any help is appreciated. Oh, and I hope it's okay to post this here, I figured since it's a photo thread that it would be okay.

Pictures are three years old by now, but here are a few random Siena ones:

Statue of the Greco-Roman god Vulcan atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, Alabama. I took this photo last year. There are people on the tower's balcony if you want an idea of the scale...

Birmingham also has a miniature version of the Statue of Liberty. This isn't one of my better shots -- I took it from a moving car, and I had to shoot through a dusky drizzle. Still, the setting sun adds a great deal to it.

In May, some 13-year locusts FILLED the woods around these parts with their droning. Rather racketous, but theirs is an interesting life cycle...

Snapping turtle I spotted in my yard in February.

That's not technically within the borders of Great Smoky Mountain National Park, but rather on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A Depression era public works project that runs along the ridgeline of a mountain range, and connects Smoky Mountain with Shenandoah National Park.

This was plus or minus October 10th or so, when the foliage is at its peak. I live in New England (the most northeastern region of the US, including Boston) and we've pretty much got the market cornered on fall foliage. We must have been the only people last year to get out of New England to see the colors.

The National Parks are a passion of my wife and me. Been to 23, got 35 to go. I've got more pictures like that than I can shake a stick at.

Took my fiancee for an impromptu trip to Niagara Falls last night for dinner and fun.

Aaaaagh!

The Niagara Skywheel, something that wasn't there when I moved to Toronto from the Falls in 2004.

We had the gondola to ourselves.

I love the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall. I hope I can take a drive up there this year.
