I have a wide screen plasma screen TV, and it looks just fine.I'm glad you're happy with it, but it looks like garbage on any widescreen TV that I've ever seen.

What is wrong with the picture on the copy you watched?I think we can agree to disagree on this one, no?
What specifically is wrong with it? I don't see any problem. The nonanamorphic movies certainly don't look great on a huge widescreen tv, but they are acceptable on a regular square tv.
I have my widescreen laptop if I want to watch movies in better quality.

I have not noticed any faded blacks in the picture, but even if I did it would be better than putting up with the changes in the special editions. That disk hasn't even been out of the case. I might as well use it as a coaster. Maybe if you weren't comparing it to the extra sharp and clean HD version.
I tried it on my plasma, and the blacks were looking pretty faded and the detail just wasn't there.
I wouldn't be surprised if these changes were real. The krayt dragon actually sounds horribly produced though.
Interesting. It just goes to show how fast tech moves I guess.
What the hell is a krayt dragon anyway?
For those who haven't heard, the audio to two scenes were leaked. The bit where The Emperor electrocutes Luke and when Obi-wan scares away the sandpeople.
They audio has been matched to 2004 dvd footage.

I can't believe people actually buy that those audio tracks are real.
So THAT's what "I just saved $90" sounds like.

There wasn't anything wrong with the first version of the yell in the first place. Obi-Wan simply screamed outloud with a strange yell to scare off the sandpeople. What the hell is a krayt dragon anyway?
From my Star Wars novelization by George Lucas (ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster), copyright 1976, paperback, second printing, page 72:A krayt dragon is EU bullshit
No, sorry. It has been specifically a "krayt dragon" since before the first film was released.Star Wars said:"That's a krayt dragon call!" Luke gaped in astonishment "How did you do that?"
"I'll show you sometime, son...."
I sense much anger in you.
