I got an early birthday present a few weeks ago in the form of a gift certificate for a bi-plane flight over Parliament Hill. My wife and I used it today!

It's hard to make us out but there we are in the front cockpit!

So cool! Did you get to do the loop de loop? How was your stomach? :D

Wow! So cool!
I still remember the first time I took a plane. During communism in Romania I couldn't fly outside the country, first time I did it was on a 747 and I had the chance to stay in the cabin with the pilot and the commander :) It sure is different from in there.I'm only lucky that my husband works for Alitalia airlines

^Googled it and that looks pretty neat. Unique if anything. I'd probably go with that, because great as Passats are, they're pretty common. That being said, they are pretty common since they are good cars. I guess it comes down to what you're in the mood for.

Only thing that prevents me from buying it right now is the fact that I've already restored an Audi V8. I know the car like the back of my hand. And every second car I work on is a bloody Passat. But I've never even driven a newer Rover. Thats why its always in the back of my head. They're uncommon and i want something new i haven't worked with yet. Otherwise, i'd go for the Audi or the Passat in a heartbeat.

No loops, which I'm sure my wife appreciated. It was a perfect day for flying. There wasn't a single bump along the way.

My wife took this one of my daughter last night. She emptied out the basket and just took a seat.

^So cool *SEEKER*! I'mnot entirely sure I'd want to go on the bi-plane but it sure sounds like a great thing to cross off the bucket list!

And little Eowyn (my apologies if I am mis-remembering!) is adorable as ever! She doesn't take a pic that isn't!

*Kelso* a little trekkie gurl? yer doing something right!

A day after my daughter Danielle got to her San Jose convention, I texted her "How's it going?" and she sent me this reply..

so I'm going to assume she's having a really, really good time ;)

I see you people mention italian stuffa lot now, when I decided not to post pics anymore :p
There's the Iguana and me. That's plenty of Italian talk going on at all times on this board. I don't think it all depends on your photos. ;)
And let's not forget Niorah. However, I tend to agree: Italians might have been quite rare around here, but we have been making a striking impression since a pretty long time. :D

I'm starting to think I'm chopped liver....

You shouldn't feel that you can't post photos any more. Go ahead. I think people were just feeling a little overwhelmed and that their photos were being drowned out by the sheer amount of pics (and commentary on them) being posted one after another, day after day. Perhaps post a few, take a couple day off from posting pics to talk to people around the board, then post some more. :)
thanks, Locutus, I'll think about it :)

boco, I for one would be unhappy if you stopped posting pictures entirely. You clearly love photography and have a gift for it. Plus, this Italian boy is loving seeing the beautifully breathtaking Italian countryside.

^What's the Audi? And Passats really are pretty great cars.

And to keep it picture related in the thread, look who was in front of me on the ferry the other week:

Didn't know he drove.

What the hell kind of Toyota is this? WTF?

Wait, are you Italian? As in actual Italian, or Italian-Somethingelseentirely? (Italian-American, Italian-Australian, etc.) Because that doesn't count. :p
