You know, it's kind of silly to put pictures under spoiler tags and then openly talk about what's in those pictures.
Now, regarding this vehicle...
I'm also really, really shocked at the leaks coming from the set. Yeah, Hathaway has said that Nolan is more in control than we think and all that, but Begins and Dark Knight in no way had such massive leaks like this. I've rapped with one person who was a crew member during the Chicago productions, and his response was "With the way they made us have things locked down over here, it just seems like the Pittsburgh crew doesn't know what they're doing with regards to a tight set."
I'm sure part of that statement is due to local pride and all, but, still -- this is pretty unprecedented in comparison to Nolan's first two Bat-movies.
Now, regarding this vehicle...
Since we've heard talk of both a glider and a helicopter, I'm guessing this ... thing is a VTOL.

I don't see a Batman vs. Superman movie happening... at least not anytime soon. You can also rest assure that Christian Bale won't do the movie, either, unless Christopher Nolan directs. Which won't happen.
The most feasible and realistic outcome after The Dark Knight Rises is that Warner Bros. reboots the Batman franchise as early as 2015. Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas could produce the reboot, which has been rumored, but their roles would likely be in an advisory capacity, similar to their roles on Man of Steel. Depending on the outcome of Man of Steel in 2013, I can see WB either green-lighting a sequel or just letting the franchise remain dormant. The future of the Superman franchise, as well as the future of DC Comics superheroes on the big screen in general, hinders on the success or failure of Man of Steel. Especially after Green Lantern tanked. That film has a lot more pressure now than it ever did (which is a lot, especially with people wondering if Superman can work as a contemporary character in the wake of the underpeformance of Superman Returns).
I just don't see WB moving forward with a separate Batman vs. Superman movie, at least not in the immediate future. If Man of Steel is a success, then you can rest assure WB will want sequels. I'm sure they'll want to continue the Batman franchise for as long as possible. It's also totally inconceivable to think Christian Bale would want to participate. I can maybe see a team-up movie after the Batman franchise has been rebooted, with Henry Cavill's Superman. Maybe.

Filming moves to LA now!
I visited Pittsburgh when I was an extra for the Heinz Field shoot. It was an incredible experience, and I met some very cool people. I am really saddened that Nolan and his crew are moving on. Pittsburgh during that time was just a wickedly cool place to visit and experience and you can tell the entire city was immersed into the whole filmmaking experience of The Dark Knight Rises.
I think what's made everything even more special and incredible were the various Pittsburgh Ninjas that captured so many cool and wild moments. There are some skeptics that think it is going "ruin" the film, but I digress. I think one of the coolest aspects about observing a film from afar is seeing little tidbits and how things are going to come together... because quite frankly at this stage we have very little actual idea about how everything is going to come together. We're legitimately clueless, despite all of the "spoilers" we witnessed unveiled in Pittsburgh.
Regardless, I love these Batman movies because I feel like I have some sort of inexplicable connection to them and that's mostly because I feel like we are experiencing the movie as it happens. It makes the actual viewing experience that much more amazing because we remember where we were when certain things happened. I'll never forget being an extra at Heinz Field and hearing Tom Hardy speak as Bane for the very first time. I'll never forget being merely feet away from Christopher Nolan and Wally Pfister. I'll have those memories forever.

Shooting runs through the middle of November.
They were there for a month. That's not an "era." Step away from the computer and breathe, boy.
I'm aware that filming runs through November. I plan on heading to New York in the fall to scope out filming. However, filming started in May and it is now the end of August, and they have about three months to go. They have been filming for four months, which means they are more than halfway done. We might not get the kind of revelatory tidbits we got in Pittsburgh. I'm assuming security might be tighter in Los Angeles and possibly New York. That's what I meant.

We uncovered so much about the film (Bane's full look, the camo Tumblers, various Batman vs. Bane fight sequences, and so much more) even though we don't quite know how they pertain to the story. I feel like the production was so silent during the first three months of filming and then the last month was an onslaught of exciting revelations (we even got to see our first full look at Catwoman during that time as a consequence of filming in Pittsburgh).
It might not have felt like an era to you, or others, but to me and probably some people that were there or followed the production's duration in Pittsburgh closely it feels like the end of an era. I understand it might not mean much to you, but don't discredit what it means to others.
