Your latest purchases, cont.

Bought a vintage desk fan, from the 1930s. I replaced the cord and oiled it, and it runs quiet on all 3 speeds. Still needs some cosmetic work.

Nice.

Huge fan of vintage stuff...

No pun intended, I assume. ;)

A silver pendant:

It came with a silver chain, but I didn't care for it: it was too short, and the clasp was too difficult to manipulate. So I hung it on a leather cord instead.

Hmm...

*Brushes at beard-dandruff*

Love the fan :bolian: -not too good to have in my house though; with the cat an' all... I did study the Dyson-fans today; very cool (if you'll excuse the pun) but also very noisy :( -while I was looking for an ice-cube maker -which they didn't have anywhere in town :wtf:

Bought a couple of nice little boxes in stead:

See, I'm not a fan of little boxes (I know, the fairer sex enjoys having tons of little boxes to put God-knows-what in them), but LEGO-Boxes? That I can get behind

They had them in several sizes, ranging from shoe-box, over lunch-box and down to the ones I bought.
The USB-dongles are only to show size, the blue one easily holds half a pack of fags and a lighter -the red one I intend to use for my tobacco-additive :shifty:

ETA:
Just today I simply could not talk about LEGO on a Star Trek-board without a mention of the newest pieces, made to go where no man has gone before:

Leaving Earth tomorrow on the Juno spacecraft!

I just purchased some books online.

And a bottle of cologne--a brand called Hammam Bouquet--on eBay.

That was expensive, but in my opinion, if you're going to wear a fragrance at all, you should wear a good one. Few things smell worse than cheap cologne. Plus, I didn't pay full price.

A book - Modernism Rediscovered - a three volume followup book to another one of the same title from Taschen. They are wonderful books full of the gorgeous architectural photography of Julius Shulman. I also picked up the box set Playboy Cover to Cover - 60s, and I have the Complete New Yorker 1925-2005 on its way.
