Well, i bin'd 9-1/2 weeks two weeks ago and it never arrived. Seller has refunded my money, which means i won't be getting it. (*sobs uncontrollably*) Gotta find it elsewhere now.
That was sort of my first reaction, but I think I'll wait for the inevitable The Hobbit + LOTR EE Blu-ray set. I'm fine with my DVD LOTR EEs right now.
Me too! Awesome film. Easily the closest to the book that they've come since Prisoner of Azkaban. After that, did a barbeque with the friends I saw the film with and watched the MST3K version of Star Trek V while barbequing steaks.
Yeah, I can see that. I've just spend a whole Sunday re-watching all of the LotR SEE DVDs back-to-back-to-back. It was glorious, but you know, it would have been even more glorious in 1080p!
That's because too many prior owners read them while eating jam doughnuts. Anyway, what have I bought recently. Leaving aside odds & sods (no snickering at the back of the class), I ordered a new suit for autumn/winter, a grey tweedy herringbone in a fairly robust weight.
A very large shadow box (16x20, 3 inches deep) to display most of my mini American Girl dolls. I may have to get a second box for the holiday mini dolls. At Christmas time, all of the dolls are displayed on a tree...but the rest of the year, I need a nice place to store them where they can be seen and not get dusty! Once all the holiday dolls are out, there will be 26 total. Went by Borders to use up a gift card. I'm so sad that they're closing. My Borders was always so busy.
I am really hoping they have a massive sale to get rid of all their stock. I will definitely be stopping by to check it out.
Borders' closing has just depressed me beyond belief. Does anyone know if their online store will still function?
Went across the border into Germany with my dad and his Norwegian cousin yesterday... Bought a few delicatessen (shrimp salad, salami, liverwurst), some booze (not a lot actually; mostly these), some candy and (most importantly) flea/tick-drops for the cat... The company making those apparently believes Danes to be richer than Germans -why else would their price in Denmark be almost double what they take in Germany? Oh yeah, and I also bought 5 € - all of the businesses in Süderlügum take Danish money -but some of them only give Euros for change back
^ Consumer prices overall are about 25% lower in Germany than in DK, so I'd say their Danish pricing is partly justified
^I had to search that -otherwise I would never have guessed you bought a new pair of shoes. Darn 'mericans; always using brand-names when there are perfectly good old words that mean the same...
I posted these in the picture thread as well, but i figured i'd post them here too. not my latest, but the latest memorable purchase. figured groceries doesnt count. This last one died a bloody death unfortunately. I used as a pressure bandage shortly after i bought it.
