With a familiar model!
As others said, the mothership from Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. So you're in the Enterprise wing of the Udvar-Hazy Center, huh? :D

Did you find all the in-jokes on the model, like R2-D2, the TIE figher, submarine, cemetery, etc.?

Yep, saw all those in-jokes, plus the small airplanes and the guy crucified on one of the towers. I couldn't spot the VW Bus or the Mailbox though.

I didn't recognise the model either *ashamed*

This morning, my travelling companion Nele and myself in front of the statue of some Gallic warlord/king in Rouen, home of Jeanne d'Arc's farewell "party".

Day 1 of our epic Normandy road trip!

^ I think that's Rollo the Viking, the first person to be in charge of Normandy as a whole (though technically not as a Duke yet).

Ah yes, Rollo! That was the name!
I had actually never heard of him, but this year is the 1100th anniversary of Normandy.

Go Normandy!

Been there, too. First time I went to Hungary the red star was still on top...they hadn't gotten a crane in to take it down, yet!

I went up to the Liberty Statue on a FREEZING winter day in 1993. It was pretty, but brrrrr!

At the last wine tasting room of the day. The guy that owns the place recognizes me from all the times i've been up there before.
