Presumably Tim Drake will continue as Red Robin? I don't think that's been mentioned yet...
If the Steph Batgirl book ends because of this reboot thing I shall be mightily annoyed.
It's a foregone conclusion, I'm afraid. Batgirl's getting a relaunch, and it's Barbara Gordon's title. Which is sad, because IMO Batgirl is one of DC's best books at the moment.
Nightwing #1 cover by Eddy Barrows.

I reckon that's Poison Ivy at the back, and Katana up front. No clue on the woman in the bustier though.
No indication yet of Helena's ongoing existence in the new world order. I suspect Zinda Blake is even less likely to survive, but we'll see.
Even the sweatband? Also, am I the only one that prefers the gray bodysuit from early JSA to the fishnets on Canary?
Edit: Thinking of the wrong costume. I quite like the leotard/fishnets/bolero look. Not with the heels though.
There is the possibility that he is the sacrificial lamb that spurs on the reboot in the Batbooks and becomes what Jason Todd was before his resurrection: a stuffed exhibit in the Batcave. Not much of a loss since he is the whitebread amongst the Robins.Presumably Tim Drake will continue as Red Robin? I don't think that's been mentioned yet...
Marvel reboot? The vague rumblings of a big thing happening next summer? Or something more specific? This really is a jumping off point for me in most regards for DC. I may pick a few single issues up out of curiosity but seems DC is finally losing my monthly dollars for good in 2011. The next Marvel reboot is likely to be the same as I'm down to just a few there as well.
Grant Morrison said:“Batman, Incorporated will continue through to Issue #10 and August’s shocking season finale that changes the Batman status quo yet again. The series will take a brief hiatus while I work on a major new project to be announced shortly. Batman, Incorporated returns next year with me, Chris Burnham and Batman: Leviathan, the epic 12 part conclusion to my 6 year Batman saga. Don’t miss it!”
Nope - see above. As I understand it, they are taking away his Batmen of many nations? Or is that incorrect?
We can delete posts entirely? I had no idea. And then I deleted it because my fears were entirely demolished and I merely wound up looking foolish, but I was too late!
Brian Hibbs, a retailer, wrote that he was taking this seriously as a possibility. The day-and-date digital push certainly isn't going to help matters. I'd hate to be running a comic shop in August through the end of the year.I have a question: how many books does DC normally put out in a month?
The reboot is talking about 52 new books. That seems like a lot... Clearly, not all are going to survive. Will this great explosion be followed by an implosion?

The DCU usually has 30-35 ongoing titles with limited series and one-shots pushing the total up to about 50-55 (that's excluding Vertigo, Wildstorm, the Kids line, etc).I have a question: how many books does DC normally put out in a month?

I like to think they're expecting some drops off, but, I wonder if there is a "normal" number of comics they want to produce each month and these 52 are the pool they want to choose from.
Or do they hope to continue doing that man? But, I have no idea how many they normally produce.

Edit to add: actually I pegged those numbers too low. I had a look at their recent publishing history and they typically have 40-42 ongoing DCU titles, plus about a dozen Kids ongoing titles, half a dozen Wildstorm ongoing titles (WS now being folded into the DCU), and just under a dozen Vertigo ongoing titles.
I whole heartedly disagree in the strictest most possible way. Tim was the catylayst for a great many positive things in the Bat books in the early to mid 90's. His continued presence has only served the 'family' well. If anything Todd can die again. There is the possibility that he is the sacrificial lamb that spurs on the reboot in the Batbooks and becomes what Jason Todd was before his resurrection: a stuffed exhibit in the Batcave.
