It's really quite amazing to see the little things that amuse the hell out of a cat.

Oh come on. If you found a shiny purple gift bag filled with yellow tissue that was big enough for you to crawl inside it on your living room floor, wouldn't you do so? You know you would.

by the way, here's a bit of before and after on the front yard.

Here's the day we saw the house for the first time in October 2007

^ somehow I fell in love with this place. this entire front yard was hard packed stone and weeds and endless overgrowth.

Here's a picture from about the same spot taken the other day (forgive the angled buildings - its a side effect of seaming 2 pic together for the panorama)

I've recently defined and built the driveway (which has yet to be filled with stone) Also in the foreground is a new garden we're working on. from the opposite view...

that corner of the drive will have a step down and connect over to a deck (which I'm putting in the cleared area next to the fence) for a picnic table.

Nice before and after SPOCKED. Your neighbors must be very happy you moved in.

^ Kewl pic. You look different somehow these days. Something different with the facial hair?

^ favorite time of the day this time of year :)

Great work Spocked and Elmo!

I'll bet you're looking forward to the day you're able to take a "finished" shot... trouble is, that never seems to happen, not until you move out! :p You finish one job, and another invariably kindly presents itself...

I like the angle of this one.

Nice action shot.

Cheers! We've been blessed with pretty fantastic weather lately, makes you want to mooch about all day taking shots and downing iced teas like there's no tomorrow - 25 centigrade today!

This is what we had at about 8:30pm:

Alright, alright! I promise I'll stop posting pics now. I'll go spam flickr instead!

^Sorta makes me do a double take since "sorg" in Swedish is "sorrow".

In this case, the name Sorg comes from the owner, Paul J. Sorg. Having served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives and being a very wealthy businessman, he pretty much owned the city of Middletown, in Ohio. He had a paper mill, an opera house, a tobacco plant, and had the Sorg mansion built (it cost $1,000,000 at the time of construction, which was 1888). It's a very interesting history.

My wife dressed up for a tea party (our friend's 11-year-old daughter is having one for her birthday), and I decided to document her beauty.

Np Timby.

AdAstra, I don't know what is worse the parent's not knowing someone took their baby or you picking up someone's child to take a picture with it. It sounds like a Hangover(the movie, mostly the short bearded one) move to me.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but you're adorable.
