Jeff conaway taken off life support this afternoon.

Jeez....just terrible.

Not really surprising, given what little I saw of Celebrity Rehab (it only took about 10 minutes for me to see where he was at, which was 'not good')...but very sad nonetheless. Clearly, there were a lot of demons there.... :(

Another death in the Babylon 5 ranks. :(

He apparently was not taken off life support due to his girlfriend who has power of attorney preventing it.

Richard Biggs, Andreas Katsulas and Tim Choate, for starters. There's a site listing those involved with B5 who have died; sadly, the list is already quite extensive.

Whether or not this story is true, it's very sad about Jeff Conaway. :(

That list is too long.

I've been going through Babylon 5 again this year (just watched Racing Mars) so this has probably hit slightly harder than it would have done if I hadn't just been watching him play Zack. :(

That list is too long.

Especially for a show that's not even 20 years old.

Very sad news indeed. I unfortunately (and anyone who has seen the footage can certainly agree with that term) saw a bit of Conaway's appearance on Celebrity Rehab - not by choice, but by accident - and I had a feeling the fellow wasn't long for this world. Although the OD reports were wrong, the guy still had a very rough last few years and it's a shame to see it end this way.
