Jeez....just terrible. Not really surprising, given what little I saw of Celebrity Rehab (it only took about 10 minutes for me to see where he was at, which was 'not good')...but very sad nonetheless. Clearly, there were a lot of demons there.... Another death in the Babylon 5 ranks.
He apparently was not taken off life support due to his girlfriend who has power of attorney preventing it.
^ Richard Biggs, Andreas Katsulas and Tim Choate, for starters. There's a site listing those involved with B5 who have died; sadly, the list is already quite extensive. Whether or not this story is true, it's very sad about Jeff Conaway.
That list is too long. I've been going through Babylon 5 again this year (just watched Racing Mars) so this has probably hit slightly harder than it would have done if I hadn't just been watching him play Zack.
Especially for a show that's not even 20 years old. Very sad news indeed. I unfortunately (and anyone who has seen the footage can certainly agree with that term) saw a bit of Conaway's appearance on Celebrity Rehab - not by choice, but by accident - and I had a feeling the fellow wasn't long for this world. Although the OD reports were wrong, the guy still had a very rough last few years and it's a shame to see it end this way. Alex
It appears this is officially an RIP thread, as TMZ.com reports it has confirmed with Conaway's family that he has died. http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/27/jeff-conaway-rehab-dead-dies-died-drug-addiction-ex-girlfriend-vikki/ Alex PS. I'm not a fan of the way that URL is worded. Sorry 'bout that. I would imagine other sources like CNN will be reporting this before long. TMZ is a gossip site, but they tend not to go too far astray on stories of this nature.
