Half Cocker Spaniel and half Australian Shepherd mix. Doesn't take much after his dad though, looks to be turning into an adorably oversized cocker.

those pictures were taken over the last couple weeks, He is about 3 months old now.

OH MY GOD IT'S ALIVE!!!:eek::eek:

    Congrats! :)

As a semi-pertinent side comment, I'm scared shitless of handling babies. They look like they could break just by staring at them too hard, let alone picking them up. Some friends offered me to hold their kids: I didn't want to offend them but I just couldn't do it. I would have ended dropping it on its head. I wonder how people manage to do it with such ease. (I'm weird, I know...)

I'm like that too but my brother-in-law just picked him up and put him in my arms. Honestly, he's less fragile looking than most newborns so I wasn't as nervous anyway. Both the parents said that they were always scared to hold other people's kids but that it's totally different when it's your own.

When one of my friends had a baby I was going over to visit and she said "Don't worry, I won't make you hold him!" Guess it's obvious that I'm a bit awkward.

I definitely enjoyed holding him, but I think it's different because I'm really close with my brother-in-law and his wife and I feel close to the baby in a way that I don't with most babies.

Well, good to know I'm not alone in my discomfort about babies, and good to know that people say it doesn't extend to your own kids. I have not ruled out the possibility of having some little iguanas in the future, so it's good news I won't need to pay someone else to pick them up for me.

I prefer to observe them from a safe distance.

Well if you're planning on having iguanas, you'll need different
    advice entirely. :p

    ^ Cute little beebee! :D

On a less than happy front, my niece tripped up on the hardwood floor in my brother's kitchen and she slammed head first right into a wall corner. She had to have 10 stitches. They released her from the hospital yesterday, and she's doing okay. I went to see her and she wanted me to take her picture. So I did. Here she is all bandaged up:

My brother took a picture of the wound. You can see it HERE (WARNING: Image is a bit graphic) if you want to see how bad it was. It was bad enough that my brother said he could see bone. I'm just happy to see she didn't have any concussion or after effects other than some pain. Children scare me sometimes.

I've heard you should be careful with the tails. You know, whipping and lashing.

I'd like to have my own little KesMonsters at some point but I'm not sure the world is prepared for the combined DNA of me and my husband.
