X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

^ Well, this being a prequel, he (or Vaughn) doesn't really have to take too much note of it to begin with. But certainly it looks like certain aspects of X3 will be contradicted by FC and its sequels - such as Beast (Nicholas Hoult doesn't really seem to be playing a young Kelsey Grammer) and when Professor X lost his ability to walk (and the other flashback scenes in X3 for that matter).

I'm guessing also that the Prof X/ Cyclops scenes in Wolverine will also be ignored as and when Cyke appears in the FC movies (his brother will be in this one).

joke
[johk] noun, verb, joked, jok·ing.
–noun
1. something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him.
2. something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke.
3. a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter: The loss was no joke.

Yeah I would have never guessed that question was a joke, unless it was pretty blatant or I guess if you attached the winking emoticon with it. Inflection and tone is pretty hard to identify on the interwebs, especially around these parts, but I'm sure you already know that.

I appreciate the attempts to defuse tension and get back on topic, but back to the topic at hand where the discussion was about X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, wasn't it? :D

so yea its coming out in T Minus 27 days? Who's going to have a tailgate party celebrating this momentous occasion dressed up as their favorite mutant?

Given the silly nature of the preceding posts, I thought it would have been obvious w/o the emoticon.

Still, I knew it would rattle Admiral Young. He also typically gets my humor.

@Broc...I laughed at your comment. :)

I'm hoping to go opening day since it's my best friends birthday as well and he's become an X-Men movie fan. It depends on what he wants to do though.

Dude, I got it. ;)
I was going to suggest Admiral Young make the question his new sig.

Logan's tough, he can take a little fireworky pain. Kitty though, she keeps going insubstantial on him. :(

Also, I wonder if the Logan/Rogue relationship in the movies was an intentional reference to his relationship with Kitty and Jubilee?

Oh, old man Logan. Always trying to get all "handsy" with the young perky teens, while still trying to get with Jean. Who's next? Boom Boom?

In the comics, didn't Logan befriend Rogue first too?

I never read when Rogue joined the team.

^ I didn't either (nor the stuff with Kitty and Jubilee, I just know of it).

However, Wiki indicates definitely not. In fact, Wolverine "at first gave her a chilly reception" since he'd been really close to Carol Danvers. But she stepped in the way of a laser meant for his fiancee and almost died; Wolverine kissed her to transfer his healing powers and afterwards they were fine since she'd proven herself.

Feh, Boom Boom's probably too old for him now.

As of Joss Whedon's run, he was grooming a girl named Hisako that goes by "Armor." No idea where things stand now. Plus of course there's his mini-me female clone X-23.
