Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoilers

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

Last week felt like it could have been the Season finale; I wonder what they have in store for us this week....

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

I actually thought the past 2 episodes were the season finales and then they kept showing the previews for the following week, this week being the one.

Some of these titles are rather humorous, my favorite is still "I See Your True Colors and That's Why I Hate You".

Yeah, last week's episode felt so much like a season finale that I had to look to see if there was one more episode.

As for this week's episode... Good finale.

- I wasn't too happy to see that we'd be getting flashbacks, but the episode wasn't filled with them and the few we did get were unobtrusive.

- Seeing the vampires treat Josh like a dog was pretty dehumanizing.

- Bishop is gone. I wonder if we'll see him next season in flashbacks. If so, I hope they're few and unobtrusive.

- What happened to whatsherface who was dying from cancer? Aidan started sucking her blood. What became of her?

- Nora knows about Josh now. I thought the miscarriage was a copout, but the scratch and her possibly being a warewolf made up for it.

- Nice to hear "Don't Look Back in Anger" by Oasis closing out the episode.

"And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say"

I think Aidan sucked her dry so he'd be strong enough to fight Bishop. Yeah good finale and great use if the song.

So will Aidan be meeting the queen vamp and take over as sheriff of Boston?

What I gotta wonder, after last week's episode, just who has the house now? Who do they pay rent to? Do squatters' rights kick in for them to keep the house?

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

Danny’s in jail ... or is he crazy? If he’s competent, the house is still his unless he give power of attorney to another. If he’s not competent, someone would have to seek or be assigned conservatorship of his estate.

Maybe next season, The trio's or actually duo's lease will be up. Nobody paid the mortgage and the house will be foreclosed. Or maybe they won't even address this issue at all and it will be one of the biggest mysteries in the series!!! haha

So, I wasn't sure. Did Nora lose the baby? Or was she just reacting to having a werewolf fetus transform inside her?

BEING HUMAN bbc vs BEING HUMAN america disscussions and comments

Series 3 is over for bbc whata ending eric is dead agin lets hope he stay's that way . so far this has been a fantastic series . now for the american verision season 1 not bad they kinda put series 1 & 2 of the british one in 1 season .
I have the last 3 episodes to watch today .

just currious what people think of either show and if there watching both show.

Re: BEING HUMAN bbc vs BEING HUMAN america disscussions and comments

I've been meaning on watching the North American series. Meagan Rath is in it and I've been a fan of hers since she was on a small Canadian teen comedy series called "15/Love" that aired on YTV. My step-nephew is a huge fan of the British version. I don't really know anything about it except that I've seen the promos run here on Spacecast.

Re: BEING HUMAN bbc vs BEING HUMAN america disscussions and comments

after finishing the third series today the biritish version is the far suppior one so far.
still have to watch the last three episode tonight. then I'll give you my opinion of the american version .

Re: BEING HUMAN bbc vs BEING HUMAN america disscussions and comments

More suited to SF&F forum, timothy, so I'm moving it there.

Re: BEING HUMAN bbc vs BEING HUMAN america disscussions and comments

Isn't there already a thread on this though? And I'm not referring to the series 3 BBC thread or the US season 1 thread.

Ugh What do I care, I sound like a narc, carry on!

I like what I've seen so far this season on the US version. Funny how both Sam Witwer and Mark Pallegrino were on season 1 Dexter, although they never shared a scene together.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

I'm pretty sure the baby is gone. But that scene of them looking at each other under the door was amazing.

This was pretty low key for a season ender; lots was resolved, but we have a few plot threads to carry us over. Being Human has turned out to be an excellent series; I'm glad I didn't pass on it based on those initial previews.

Your enthusiasm is noted, timothy... but the search function can help you find existing threads easily enough.
