First REAL trailer for HBO's A Game of Thrones

Oh they are certainly adding material - many of the clips and released images show scenes that are not described in the book. (but they do not contradict the book)

The first 14 minutes of the 1st episode titled "Winter is Coming" is now online at HBO.com: http://www.hbo.com/video/video.html?view=grid&vid=1170886&autoplay=true
(presumably US only)
It's not US only, but watching it from the HBO site is a real pain in the ass, even with a good internet connection. Thankfully there are people who upload the HBO videos to youtube. I think eventually HBO themselves will upload it in better quality.

The preview itself is great - the prologue scene is a bit changed but nevertheless very atmospheric and creepy. The Winterfell and the beheading scenes are great too, but I've seen almost all of them in various previews so I knew what to expect.

You know, it has some changes, some omissions, but frankly that was perfection, even for just 3 scenes. The tone and the feel were exact and the little chap playing Bran seems like a fine little actor. If the rest of the young cast are as good this show is going to be one for the ages!

Or a season when HBO can't afford it any more...

Hugo - Still weeping a little over Deadwood/Rome/Carnivale... :(

^Yeah, that sums up my feelings pretty well to. I'm really hoping I can find someway to watch this as it airs.

I thought about watching the preview, but I'd really rather see the whole episode in one go. I can wait a little longer. :)

HBO has published a companion site for the show, which contains family trees, information, and for the first time, a partial map of the free cities and land on the other side of the narrow sea!

EDIT: Looks like it was an in-development site that was not ready for primetime yet, so the links are not working anymore. The finished site will most likely be back up in a week or two at HBO.com.

I posted the titles for the first four episodes in the other thread, but I'll post them again here since this seems to be the main discussion thread for the show:

1. Winter Is Coming
2. The Kingsroad
3. Lord Snow
4. Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things

The remaining episode titles:

5. The Wolf and the Lion
6. A Golden Crown
7. You Win or You Die
8. The Pointy End
9. Baelor
10. Fire and Blood

I got errors when I opened both links.

Hmm, looks like it was a site under development and not finished, so they took it down. It will probably be back on HBO's site in a week or two.
This site also had huge spoilers in episode descriptions. For example, they spoiled
Ned's death, which is apparently supposed to take place in episode 9.

Great episode titles - those who read the book can easily figure out where the biggest plot twists will take place :)

HBO has posted the latest 25 minute "Making of Game of Thrones" video that was aired yesterday up on YouTube: (in 720p HD)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OofPjpBVvEA

This looks to be the final behind-the-scenes video released before the show starts in 10 days.

EDIT:
@3:30 - holy crap, the wall from the south!
Yeah, that's a great shot!
Also, great shot of Bran running on some rofftop and Lysa looking batshit insane (I love the actresses' accent :)) ...

Man, the sets and the costumes all look fantastic. Are we sure this didn't cost as much as Rome? Because I really want this to last more than two seasons.

GoT has a benefit of filming in Nothern Ireland, so that saves them some money.
The show has to last at least 3 seasons, because the third book has the most "WTF, no way it happened!" scenes in it ...
