Can't wait for Zombies

I watch The Walking Dead when it comes on. But I can't seem to get any sneek peaks of what the new season will look like. Am I too early? I could have sworn that it said new season this summer, which means that since its spring, spoilers usually come out around this time.

I suppose it'll be out around September or October, like the previous season did ... I don't think they even started filming it yet ..

No I think they are filming it right now, there are those Become a zombie commercials. They also did a mararthon when the comic writer and director were talking about filming it right now, and what they are doing.

Maybe. It sort of depends on your point of view, doesn't it? When AMC commissioned Walking Dead, it was as a miniseries, just six episodes. They certainly hoped it would do well in the ratings, but had no idea it would become a phenomenal show.

Rather than rush things and potentially ruin the momentum, they commissioned a second season, to begin airing just like the then-current one - the Sunday of Halloween. They're using it to cross-promote their Halloween lineup.

Remember, this is the same network that hoped their remake of The Prisoner would be a smash success, and it was a miserable failure. You never know what is going to stick, it's all a guessing game until it's out there.

While they are in the early stages of pre-production, the second season has not yet started filming, and it may be some time before they do start. I do seem to recall they have expanded the second season to several more episodes, not just six.
