It's great that you're willing to try changing things at all. Good first step!
Also, there's one thing that hasn't been really addressed here thought it would be difficult since we don't know you. But what are your facial expressions like as you go around throughout the day.
I've seen perfectly content or even happy people who happen to look grouchy on the outside.

Well, I did ask for advice... I'm not going to ignore it, lol, but thanks. I figure if you all are telling me the same thing, there must be truth to it, and like I said... one's own mirror can be biased.
Finn, usually I wear what I can only describe as a "neutral" look, lol... but of course if I am near a woman or a group of people in my sight, I will smile, or try to wear what I hope is a polite look.
Okay, I will lose the mustache. I'm surprised to hear the stuff about the glasses, though... the ones I had before were much bigger, like Urkel glasses, which is why I went with these... a more serious look.
You missed the point entirely. You compared yourself to a morbidly obese man, and stated that since he could find a wife, so should you. It's not about your attractiveness, it's about thinking you deserve to be loved. Hideous-looking serial killers are loved, and perfectly nice and good-looking people are not, so whether people deserve it is a moot point You can't control whether you are loved or not: life doesn't work like that. The only thing you can control is looking and behaving your best. You seems willing to make steps about that, so kudos to you for that.I do NOT feel like I'm more attractive than others... in fact, I admit most guys looks way better than me.
Sounds like there may be some elements of clinical depression. Have you ever tried talking to counsellor? The thing with me is, I'm actually usually a real upbeat, happy, and confident guy. BUT... when I get hit emotionally, it hits me very hard, and when I'm down, it takes me a long time to get back up, because when you're down, you're down, and you just simply "don't feel like" putting on a happy face... that takes time.
As other mentioned, a couple advices could improve your look.
Dude, Olmos is over 60. I hate to say that, but looking like an old, pissed-off Admiral might not be the best way to attract women. One thing I'd like to TRY before I go hackin' away at the hair, is try to get it styled like Adama's...

His hairline is back a bit, and I like how in the front the hair is kind of raised up, and then waves back down... I can get my hair long enough to do that, but IDK how to style it that way... but I like that look, hairstyle-wise.
I usually picture what's in people's avatar as actually typing behind their keyboard: it leads to interesting juxtapositions^ Wow! A face I can now put to the name! I have a generic face I envision for everyone on internet forums but now I can picture you properly.
