Yes, and I do not like him. But that vid is INCREDIBLE from a technical/artistic perspective. Absolutely incredible.

Well, from the shallow end of the pool that I sit in, he looked "ruggedly" handsome, not pretty boy cute. His accent definately helped his case, and for me he's the perfect height. Tall enough to look up, not so tall one gets a neck strain.

When you think about it, though, most of the Voyager men looked better as themselves than they did as their characters.

It also helped that he answered my "naughty" question at the "women of star trek voyager convention" (he replaced Scarlett Pomer) with complete aplomb.

I'd like to present to everyone... my (almost finished) Voyager-themed goalie mask! It's being painted by Head Strong Grafx (www.headstronggrafx.com).
When I get a goalie mask painted, I always choose a theme that I'm passionate about and I think has a bit of me in it. For this mask I decided to go with a Voyager theme, as it's my all-time favorite TV show.
On the left side of the mask (left when you're looking at it) we have Voyager coming out of a nebular cloud, akin to Voyager's intro. It's also alluding to the Badlands' nebula.
Directly underneath of that is The Caretaker.
On the right side of the mask I have Voyager is in a more transparent transwarp/warp. Below that is the Borg Sphere.
So I have a bit of the beginning and end of Voyager on each side of the mask.
On the chin is my last name in the Voyager font.
The backplate features Voyager going through a solar storm (like the intro), and on the right it has the United Federation of Planets emblem with the Omega symbol in the middle, an obvious reference to the Omega molecule. It's in some ways representative of my personality. Along the bottom is "synesthete," which obviously is my screen name at some boards and at Play Station Network. If you aren't familiar with synesthesia, it's a "melding of the senses." To put it simply, I can see sounds/music, numbers are personified, and time isn't linear to me. Weird stuff, I know, haha!
Anyway, I hope all of you enjoy my mask, and I'm looking forward to being a member here and talking more about my favorite Trek series!

The crowd (and I) had split for the vendors rooms and bath rooms soon after he came on.
Unlike the rest of the audience, I came back to a nearly empty auditorium and just a few people asking questions. The guy WAS answering them, they just weren't giving him anything "to work with".
I felt sorry... and the three women I was with weren't there to "hear me", so anonymity emboldened me to get up and ask...
"So, what was it like to basically play a vibrator in 'Fairhaven'?"
The part I loved, was that he answered the question seriously, and with careful thought. It wasn't like a few people I'd seen at the 1 previous con I'd been to, who couldn't even remember the episode people were asking about.
I know.

Your opinion of me has just SUNK to a new low.
What can I say, it was almost 10 years ago... and I was much more boistrious than I am now.

Not in the least! I spent years referring to Data as a Tasha Yar's big yellow vibrator until I decided it was just a ~wee~ bit offensive to some fans..

IIRC he talked about the loneliness of command and her inability to turn to her subordinates for "companionship" in various ways.
I do recall he was thoughtful on the subject and not thrown "off" at all by my "description" of his character's function.
