Seven of Nine and the Borg

I have just watched Scorpion again and something struck me. Generally speaking, despite their great efficiency the Borg are rather clumsy in their movements. Seven of Nine on the other hand walks like a fashion model right from the beginning even when she is still fully Borg. Not that I'm complaining; I'm a big fan.

If you look at how her arms move, she's definitely doing the stiff Borg walk, but with a body like that, it's kind of hard not to look good anyway.

Don't get me wrong since I'm not compaining - but what use would the Borg have had to keep her boobs? Or, since she was Borgified at age 6, why would they allow them to grow in the first place?

The Borg don't seem to remove body parts unless they are modifying it, such as replacing an arm with a badass pizza cutter. But they don't seem to take issue with redundant body parts such as genital foreheads and large breasts. And I don't think manipulation to stop something like breasts from developing is something the Borg would spend time on, what with all the assimilating and building cubes. Those Borg suits seem to hold everything firmly in place anyway, like an alien sports bra, so I don't think there's an immediate reason for them to worry about it.

On a serious note, although Seven was quite clearly brought to the show to increase the T&A factor, she did nevertheless become an fascinating, intricate and multifaceted character - very much to the credit of Jeri Ryan and the writers.

To be fair, Seven's boobs clearly were, um, enhanced bionically by the Borg, possibly with some sort of saline-filled sacks.

The explanation in the show was that the catsuit was regenerating the skin on her body permanently damaged by the irremovable borg implants (That thing on her face? It's really a huge piece of tech inside her skull), so she had to keep wearing it and the variants.

People on Earth in Trek don't work for monitary gain, they work because it makes them feel good.
A steak dinner can be made from poop using a replicator.
Folks can't be disassembled on a molecular level, re-assembeled and still be alive.

A woman with a great body wearing something that shows it off, seems like one of the only logical things in Trek.

I loved the suit...I loved Seven in other outfits too. I think something like what T'Pol wore in latter seasons of ENT would have been ok too...something with more style.
