So what are you reading, now? Part V

Taking another (brief) Star Trek break to read Greg Benford's The Martian Race.

I read this several years ago when I was on a Mars reading binge. Mars by Ben Bova, Crossing Mars by Geoffrey A Landis, Return to Mars by Ben Bova, The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. I remember giving this one a B or so. I think I wrote a review somewhere if I can find it. I'd be interested in reading Sunborn, the sequel.

There's a sequel? Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know that.

Interestingly, all the other Mars books you list are on my "to read" shelf, with the exception of The Martian Chronicles. I read that one some years back.

I just finished Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. It was very good and much better than I thought it would be, despite some editing errors and a few things being contradicted by later games. I'll definitely be picking up more Halo novels in the future.

I'm about to start on Typhon Pact: Rough Beasts of Empire by David R. George III.

Approaching the final chunk of The Evolution of God -- finishing up the section on Christianity and approaching Islam. I'm also reading from Isaac Asimov: the Complete Stories for leisure, and mulling over The Age of Absurdity: Why Modern Life Makes it Hard to be Happy as my next read.

I finished the New Frontier novel Gods Above and I am now reading the Typhon Pact novel Rough Beasts of Empire. I'm enjoying it so far...

Finished 'Memory Prime' on the weekend. Lovely to read a book set in the classic TOS timeframe, don't think I've done that before.

Now on to 'Death in Winter'

Finished Seize the Fire last night, which was kind of meh. Not bad, but not that good either.

Now I'm reading Rough Beasts of Empire.

Currently reading "Without Warning" by John Birmingham. I'm enjoying it, but preferred The Axis of Time series.

Finished Evolution of God. I'm going to continue reading Age of Absurdity for stimulation and Isaac Asimov: the Complete Stories Volume 2 for leisure.

A biography about Steve Marriott, a prominent rock musician well-known for his contributions in the bands Small Faces and Humble Pie.

The Art of District 9. My copy just came in from Amazon, and I'm loving it... looking at all the awesome concept art, and reading the story of how the VFX were produced.

Der Hammer der Götter by Wolfgang Hohlbein (never thought I'd read something written by him again)

'Who P-p-p-Plugged Roger Rabbit' is put on so hold so I may read 'The Dark Knight Returns' and 'The Dark Knight Strikes Again.'

I've now finished Rough Beasts of Empire, and now I'm going to start on The Bourne Deception by Lustbader. I thought I had read it but I don't remember doing so when it came out in '09, so I'll have fun with it. Then I'll read The Bourne Objective, the latest one.

Are Lustbader's novels more related to the original Ludlum novels or the Damon movies?
