Crikey, that sounds horrible. I hope it all gets sorted out!
Better a zombie thread than a zombie Bob!

Yeah, just seems kinda odd to have had two bleeding incidents fairly soon after starting it. That said I used to have heavy nose bleeds like this fairly regularly until about 10 or 12 years ago so hopefully it's just a strange coincidence and there's nothing more needs doing.

I had a nose bleed a couple of weeks ago too. My first in over 10 years. Even though it was a relatively small bleed, I was quite shocked.
I hope the cause of yours gets identified and fixed soon.
Could the cold weather be a cause? If blood capillaries are cooled and then warmed too quickly they can rupture, like they do with chilblains. Perhaps it's something similar?

I was out in the cold, I had a cold, and I had been using oxygen the night before, so I assume those three things were contributing factors. Along with the fact I hadn't had a venesection in about 6 or 7 months and my blood had just got so thick it needed an escape route.
Good news, I just had the phone call, all the blood tests that are back are fine, they think it was just a false result from my blood being so thick they couldn't get a good reading.

The thickened blood (due to the polycythaemia - elevated red cell and ahemoglobin counts) might themselves cause weakening and damage of the microcirculation, increasing the chance of a localised bleed. Exposure to the elements and other irritants in the nasal passages might trigger something perhaps.
Either that, or you're picking your nose too much. Or maybe not picking it enough.
Rest up.![]()

Funnily enough, I'm watching that episode of The Simpsons right now...
Other embargoes include no sneezing, or keeping my mouth open if I do, no lifting anything heavy, no strenuous activity and no straining on the toilet. Also, I should apparently lubricate... who knew.

How does one stop oneself from sneezing.
Hope you feel better soon.
And you should always Lubricate.![]()
