PICTURE POST!

*Seeker* the baby is gorgeous! What fun - first Christmas! Does she get a baby brother Eomer for next Christmas?

It would be nice but we are going to wait a while for the next one. Plus I think I'll need the time to convince my wife Eomer is a good boy's name!

Whatever weight an internet vote carries - I'm for it! Enjoy that baby - they grow up so fast! Hubs is driving eldest downstate to move apts for Comm College. *sniffs* he's not sorry to leave us at all!

This is a picture of myself with my wife and my aunt (the two most important people in my life) about two weeks ago in North Carolina. Besides being rare (in that there aren't many pictures of me) it was also the day before I got really sick (which has kept me bed ridden most of the time since this picture was taken).

My wife and I were there for about 8 days and it was the first time I had gotten to spend that much time with family in years (decades, really). I spent a lot of it with the kids of my cousins... which is most likely why I got sick (I don't normally see any kids, so spending a ton of time playing with four was most likely more than my system could take). We had the best time we've had in years... we're just so sorry that we live so far away (and it took so long before we could make it out there).

^glad you shared your rare pic with us! it's like some vast global consipracy - everyone moves about the planet at the holidays and all kinds of germs get introduced to unsuspecting immune systems and whammy - the entire planet is sick for the holidays. it's the price we pay for having loved ones who live far away from us . . .

^I really hope I'd be able to say that was overdoing it a bit, but some people don't know where the limit is sometimes.

Relax though, mods keep most in check.

And nice to see some new faces around here :)

Emher, can I just say I love your avatar? The Iron Giant is such a great movie! Is that from the part where the squirrel goes up his pants?

I just thought you were really, really good.

I'll take what I can get.
In all seriousness, I do about 50 pushups a day.
I realize that's a pittance compared to most people, but I just don't have the energy or the time for more than that.

Well, how many are you doing at a time? 50 all day isn't that impressive, but 50 at once is fucking awesome.

It's 50 at once. I have to pack all my exercises into one 30-45 minute program, and then it's off to take care of the day's demands.

I get to about 25 before my arms crap out.

Do you do them fast or slow? I do them slowly, but evenly, and my arms don't get as tired, although by 50 they're wobbly and feel as strong as spaghetti. Then I have to lay there on the floor for a minute and wonder who put all the pretty lights on the walls.

Slow going down (bringing my chest all the way to the floor), fast pushing back up, and I make sure I squeeze my chest and triceps at the top. Now, keep in mind, if I'm doing push-ups, I will do 4-5 sets of 20-25, with my hands at various widths (or sometimes I will do them with dumbbells in my hand, so I'm elevated and can go even deeper).
