TRANSFORMERS 3 to be called...

I don't think the title is that bad. It could be called "Attack of the Clone" the worst title EVER!

Even though I really hated the second movie I will give the third movie a try.

What follows is my opinion only...

Transformers 2 was one of the worst Hollywood blockbusters in recent memory. It was downright offensive in not only its racial caricatures (Lucas gets sent to the 9th level of Hell for it, but Bay?) but also its mediocrity, and anyone who thinks it's a good film has frontal lobe trauma of some sort. I can prove it scientifically.

The Dark Of The Moon sounds like Megatron's ass.

Exactly!

I am hoping Bayformers will end with this movie and in a few years a real Transformers movie will be made.

Meh, I've thoroughly enjoyed both Transformers movies so far. I'm sure I'll enjoy this one, too.

I enjoyed the first one well enough, though I'd never call it "good."

The second, though ... wow. That movie was one of two times when, on the drive home from the theater, the only conversation between myself and my wife was me consistently repeating, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

My friend and I spent the whole ride home going, "What the hell did we just watch?"

We loved it because it was so absurd.

I remember watching the final fight scene between Prime, Megatron and the Fallen; the transformation of Devastator; and the first 20 minutes or so of the movie on YouTube, and really enjoyed it.

Then when I finally got round to watching the whole movie I couldn't believe the stuff in hadn't seen.

Might try watching it again. Definitely better than Attack of the Clones.

You know, the Transformers movies are so bad that I haven't even watched them! :p

(But I'm familiar with some of Bay's other work and this was warning enough...)

I've watched it several times since seeing it in theaters, and I still find it really enjoyable. If nothing else, it looks awesome in Blu-Ray.

Rejected titles:

Transformers: The Legend of Curly's Gold
Transformers: The Secret of the Ooze
Transformers: The Quickening

You forgot:
Transformers 3: Red, White & Blonde
Transformers 3: The Quest for More Money
Transformers 3: Leprechaun In The Hood
I’ll Always Know What You Transformed Last Summer

I actually enjoyed Armageddon and The Island. They were mindless popcorn flicks that were well edited and had great soundtracks.

Can't stand Bad Boys. Pearl Harbour was too long and should've ended straight after the main attack.

Wonder if this a reference to Unicron. Reminds me of Transformers Armada in which Unicron was the Moon of cybertron.

^ Isn't Unicron unique among TF characters in that he is exactly the same in all the various continuities? Indeed, there is only *one* Unicron, which exists simultaneously in all such universes.

supposedly. supposedly the same was true of The Fallen, but movieFallen is different to the comicFallen, so i'd say if Unicron appears - which i doubt - he'd be different too.

apparently, SHH has found a website called TransformersDarkSideoftheMoon which redirects to michaelbay.com...

Unicron hasn't been mentioned by Bay or anyone else connected with the project but that wouldn't surprise me. If the Dark God does some how find his way into this project and they don't screw him up then I might actually watch this.
