I shall now waggle my eyebrows in a suggestive manner.

I'm loving all your photos! There's something about putting faces to names and avatars that makes me happy. Also, welcome aboard, firecrackerrr. :)

Here's me in our back garden, modelling a top I knit.

another knitter! the diff between us of course is that I won't wear anything I've made in public yet! you'd think after 20 yrs of very labored practice I'd be more advanced than socks and afghans. * sighs*

you remind me of Kristen Vangness of Criminal minds. cute and maybe full of surprises!

*HOLDFAST* many thanks for the shoe porn - gawjus!!!!!!!!!

What will i have to do to get the car?
That's easy.

Buy me a newer, nicer one.

See? Simple!
God you are so high maintenance. Are you sure you're totally straight? :p

Totally.

Except that one night in Bangkok, but THAT NEVER HAPPENED... :shifty:

It's not a particularly high-end watch; as I mentioned upthread, most of the accessories in those pics except the shoes are pretty much mid-market items rather than particularly unique. But I like its classic style, which suits most of what I tend to wear. Also, because it echoes an older aesthetic, the size is a bit smaller than modern watches tend to be, which suits my wrist size too.

If you're really interested in getting one, it's a Longines Heritage Conquest Automatic. Mine's about 4ish years old now, and it's going pretty strong. I'd recommend it. I think it might need a service at some point soon (actually, it's probably overdue), but I'm unacceptably lazy about these things...

I would love to have a watch like that. I like heirloom watches. Oh, and now I know what you mean by "mid-market". I saw the prices and just about passed out. Holy Schnikes, I'd buy a watch like that but I'd have to sell my car to do it!

Watch-wise, it really is though. And in terms of decent automatics, it's only just into mid-market range.

Slightly horrified to realize how much Dan and I have aged over our years together...

You're still smiling, so something must be going right! :D

*HOLDFAST* many thanks for the shoe porn - gawjus!!!!!!!!!

Plus, it rids the world of one more crocodile, so really, I'm just doing my bit for humanity by wearing them.

I've also been knitting for 20 years but it's only recently that I've had the guts and patience to knit adult-sized sweaters. I'm very good at starting projects but not so good at finishing them, so I have an embarrassingly large collection of unfinished projects.

I have no idea what you mean...

Ooh, I have Trekkies fighting over me. My life is complete!

I'm super light-weight and get basically drunk after a glass of wine (it's my borg past ;) ) so last night I drank two glasses for the first time in weeks and well, kind of started to dance to MJ with my friend when I slipped, knocked over the porcelain bowl my cat drinks water out of and fell. I started to laugh not thinking much of it when my friends suddenly looked at me all horrified. Turns out I destroyed the bowl, I have a 1cm deep cut on my foot and 1.2" wide and the blood was literally gushing out Kill Bill style. They did 4 (or 5 maybe? I was delirious) stitches. My first time getting stitches and it suuuuucks. :(

I hate feet so I'll spare those of you who feel the same way and link it instead but boo, my foot: http://imgur.com/exxUY.jpg

Bet this isn't the kinda photo you expected here :vulcan:

What's worse is that the stitches will have to be taken out in a week. Don't they have some kinda stitches that dissolve? Damn it!

I hope you get well soon. Poor foot. :( & Get that kitty a new bowl! ;)

*HOLDFAST* - making the world a safer place one crocodile at a time!

Well I won't post it again, but that's me in my avatar for Halloween. Can you guess who I'm trying to be?

TinTin?!?!?!

Ooh, I have Trekkies fighting over me. My life is complete!

I suspect the fun is just beginning!

OldstRed (who has many more uncompleted projects awaiting her than time or inclination will ever allow for . . . )
