Its what i was eating at the time i signed up...and its Peter Cushing as Dr Who with multi coloured Daleks, whats not to like.
User Name: Nachtkommen is the name of one of my fav songs from one of my fav bands, Element. I've been using it since early 2ooo.
Avatar: Re-Animator is my fav movie and Jeffrey Combs is fav actor.
Also, "fav" was overused a total of five times in this post.

I chose this user name because, honestly, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 is a character that is very similar to me, personality wise (aside from the mother complex, but that wasn't the real Sephiroth and I could write a paper on that)

Orac and Zen are computers in my favourite ever SF series, Blakes 7. My username is usually shortened to OZ and given I'm Australian, it kinda works. 
My current av is from a scene from an episode of a brilliant British comedy series, The Good Life. The scene amused me, so I made an av from it.

My avatar is from Scott Pilgrim, because that movie was awesome (and so is Super Mario Bros. 3)
My user name doesn't really mean anything, it's a name some guy I know made up to describe a form of martial arts he developed, but then he called it something else and I liked the name and used it myself.
I change my avatar all the time, I chose this one because it's the album of the century so far, IMO.

My username is from the Rush song The Body Electric. I don't really know why that came to me. It probably sounded kinda science-fictiony.
As for my avatar, I love Futurama, and figured I could use some sort of robotic picture to go with the username. This particular image is from the party scene where Calculon utters the famous line: "Pull up a groove and get fabulous!"
And I guess the idea of a robot in a leisure suit amused me.

after lurking here a while I realized I'd be one of the older (chronologically - not in terms of tenure here ) posters but took the leap anyway. the redshirt refers to my lack of science-type skill set - all I'd be good for is laser fodder . . .

I'm an aunt, and my name is Hill, so not really rocket science there.
I had many Avs when I first joined, way back when, but when I finally settled on Bloo (from my nephew's then-favorite cartoon), it stuck. Bloo is a bit like my alter-ego. Plus, he's very versatile, so my av is usually some version of Bloo.

my user name is from the old judge dredd magazines, when i was younger me a a group of friends were into a lot of role playing games like dungeons and dragons and the judge dredd game.
