Fall Anime 2010

Not sure if there's more than a couple of people following new anime, but I figure I'd make the thread anyway.

The charts:

Star Driver seems to be the one that everyone will watch. I'm mostly looking forward to sequels, but Bakuman and the new SHAFT show are also on my list of thing to watch.

Also, Panty and Stocking promises to be the weirdest thing this season, I'm sure.

Ill have to give this season a shot. I completely missed like the last years worth of anime because of stupid work

I think that Iron Man and Dragon Ball Z Kai are the only ones that I will be regularly watching.

Vampires, cat-eared girls, maids, and so on... I know I've dismissed the "anime is declining" position somewhat in the past, but I'm beginning to be swayed. Same old stuff, looking less inspired with each iteration. Guess I've reached that point where I've seen it all; a bit like following a soap for years and starting to see past plots coming back again and again with different characters. Hopefully it's just a particularly bland season and things will look more interesting next year.

Will mostly be watching a few sequels, I guess. Will check out Iron Man and a couple of others though.

AND STILL NO SAKI SECOND SEASON! :censored:

No Hellsing episode, no third season to Dokuro-chan... can anybody recommend something to me (preferably violent, what with the blood and the decapitations and whatnot)?

Honestly, there isn't much that's grabbed my attention this fall. The only thing on that list that interests me is Iron Man, but since the Birdy dub is coming out, I'll check that out. What's really apparent is that the studio execs aren't taking any chances with what they've got. I really wish that they would cut down on the number of shows and work on making the shows they have better in terms of writing, but that'll never happen.

^Well, there's a new Beserk anime coming:

Doh, I should learn to reload pages.

Winter 2011 has Hourou Musuko, which hopefully will be awesome.

And the Saki manga ain't that far ahead unfortunately. If they ever make a sequel, it's probably years in the making!

I have to imagine that they caught up to the manga in Giant Killing as well though.
Oh, adaptations...

Iron Man is the only thing I'm really looking forward to, but I might try the SRW and Star Driver series.

I wish they would release more interesting anime, aside from FMA I can't think of a single anime series made after 2003 that has really caught my eye, if you look at my anime collection it's Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, FLCL, Ranma 1/2, the few Tenchi episodes I could find, bit o gundam, alot of Studio Ghibli stuff, Dragon Ball, and a fist full of random Anime Movies

Hmm looks like I'm just watching Index 2, Star Drive and Black Lagoon (Maybe Iron Man as well). Personally I'm hoping that they'd continue D Gray Man at some point! :(

What's happening with Inuyasha? Are they creating the TV anime for it in Japan as yet? It will take forever for Wiz (I think) to do the English dub for Cartoon Network...

I have seen Berserk. And I know I was absolutely revolted by how it ended. It was dark, twisty and creepy in bits thruout the series but the ending was really really dark. It almost seemed to be something totally out of left field. Thankfully I have managed to erase the specifics of what happened at the end of the show. So, I don't really want to know how it will continue. But most everybody had seen their stories ended. Based on where the ending had the characters, it would be impossible to include the other characters in the story, right?

(Btw - when I say revolted, I don't mean that it was terrible in terms of quality. Just that it was shocking and twisted almost beyond measure. I think Anime does that from time to time where the ending is going to completely make you want to throw up! Don't quite know why they do it... Creator-dickery?)
