The Tonka restoration shop has been busy over the last couple of days on a few more of my old Tonka trucks from my childhood.
And a before/ after:
I think this one turned out very nicely. I may not let the kids play with it any more.
Those are AWESOME!!! Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around my Tonkas. Each year, my grandparents would get "the boys" a different Tonka. I had quite a collection. Nice restoration jobs.

I wrote a sign on a scrap of paper that read: TOO, TWO O's!!!, and my sister held it up to the window as we passed the driver. I don't think she noticed, but we got a kick out of it!Saw this on the freeway today.

The Morgantown NC Community Center. My sisters college graduation party was held here. Pretty neat place.
I'm doing the work myself. It's been fun. What's really neat is to see the kids light up when they see them.
That's mainly why I'm doing it. I had a lot of fun with those trucks and now my kids can do the same.
I never really looked, but I would suspect that original condition is more valuable than repainted, unless it was a total reconstruction where everything was taken apart and reconditioned.

More of my adorable nephew! I must admit, though, that I have ulterior motives in posting the cuteness. You see, my sister has started her own business from home, and this is her "office," Liam sharing her lap with her computer. ^ Wow. I love that color.
Well my being an artist makes color very important to me and I think you chose well, even if it was for the extra features. It is awesome and makes a nice statement.
