Top Gear New Series

^It's not always just the Americans.

Whose bright idea was it to put Amy Winehouse on Never Mind the Buzzcocks with Simon Amstell after the watershed ? Even if she'd turned up sober she still wouldn't have stood a chance.

Or when Preston walked off.

Or Lemmy? Let's face it walking out of Buzzcocks is hardly a benchmark for how celebs handle quirky quiz show formats.

I'm pretty sure that was the point.

I'm pretty sure that was the point.

I can see why the BBC would do it, I'm thinking more on her side.

Well, she was on the NMTB when Mark Lamarr hosted, so she can't feign ignorance about the content of the show, or how the guests are treated.

Someone on final gear got talking to Andy Williams, when they went to a recording of the show and he said their will be two Christmas specials then sometime in 2011 they will air series 16.
One special will be a road trip but he would not say what the other special would be.
But there have been rumours of a
TG UK VS TG AUS ep

So there won't be another special before crimbo, or a summer trip? Shame.
Still, the one vs the Gerries was quite good so the aussies should be even better, on the whole they have a better sense of humour, or at elast one more suited to the Brits, as Clarkson noted when he was talking to Bana.

The BBC has threatened to take legal action against the Stig, Top Gear's anonymous driver, to prevent him from publishing an autobiography.

I'm surprise it's such a big deal anyone who wants to know who is the main driver who plays the stig can easily find out on the net.
I thought they used multiple Stigs now?

Hard to believe the current Stig would risk it, though. Black Stig was launched off an aircraft carrier when he revealed his identity.

I almost want him to do it, just so that I can find out what colour Stig III is.

Also, for those that haven't seen it, here's the trailer for Top Gear USA:

Obviously, it's not the same, what makes Top Gear so much fun is Clarkson, Hammond and May, and you just can't replicate that.

Yeah, that looks pretty bad. Hammond, May, and Clarkson have fantastic chemistry, and those three... well, from the short clip, they seem to lack it.

They're missing the 'class' factor. The reason everything works so well in Top Gear is because there is a general reverence towards motoring, even when they're tossing a Reliant Robin around or racing airport utility vehicles. This might be a decent bit if it didn't make the show look like a toned down Jackass based around cars.

It kind of gives the impression of what Top Gear would be like if it was presented by three Richard Hammonds.
