Oddball Question: Will Jenny ever return or make an appearance?

God no! "The Doctor's Daughter" is, by far, the single worst episode of Doctor Who in the history of the series. There is absolutely not one single bit of that episode redeemable by any stretch of the imagination. It's the only episode in my thirty-one years of viewing I switched off halfway through on my first viewing. I finished the rest sometime later after the nausea had passed. Even then, I barely made it past the mega-holy-fuck-what sanctimonious, hypocritical drivel that came out of Tennant's mouth about "the man who never would". I am insulted that complete and utter bullshit was ever even written, let alone filmed.
I remember when "nope, not my cup of tea" was an acceptable way to voice one's negative opinion.

That's 3 of us...we should possibly start some kind of support group...

Maybe there's a 'Fans of Fear Her' group out there?

I also like The Doctor's Daughter.

We Four, we Brave Four... This feels like that episode of The Black Adder where he gathers the seven most evil men in the land.

So, no. Leave any and every trace of it in the past, where history can hopefully forget it.

And people get one Bones' case about being negative?

Sweet Merciful Fish, The! How can you go and piss all over what was clearly the best episode of nuWho under RTD's tenure??? The episode was brilliant! Brilliant I say...

Er... ok, so it wasn't. And it was made even worse by Martha's presence, which is tricky considering how bad it already was but... Hmm. Hey, it's raining out. ;)

"The Doctor's Daughter" represents some of the very worst of the "lonely god who is the judge and jury of the entire universe" aspect of the Doctor that Davies wrote into Tennant's character (which wasn't particularly noticeable in Tennant's first year, but then grew increasingly odious as time went by).

I thought it was a pretty fun episode myself, and really liked the character.

But so much time has passed by now, that I think it's highly unlikely we'll ever see her again. Hell, there wasn't even a tiny, fleeting mention of Rose this season (for the first time ever), so what are the odds we'll hear from a one-off character like Jenny?

Considering, IIRC, that Moffat wanted her kept alive in the story... fair to middling.

And as for no mention of Rose, well, it's not RTD's show now, is it? ;)

No, but I still thought it would be cool to see Doc 11 at least acknowledge her in some way. Whether you liked that relationship or not, he WAS clearly hung up on her for a good long while. It seemed strange that after all that pining away... we suddenly don't even hear a peep about her.

Please, no. "The Doctor's Daughter" was the only bad mark in the entirity of series 4. I much rather forget about that episode.

Why would we? New Doctor. New personality. New priorities.

And besides, River Song is a woman. Rose was a child. I know where my attentions would be if I was the Doctor. ;)

Moffat was able to subtly reboot the entire Doctor Who mythology to the point that the Time Lords of Galifrey could make a reappearance someday... thoughts?

.... I see no evidence of that whatsoever. All he did was erase most of the events of Series Five from the timeline, in the same way that "Last of the Time Lords" erased the Year That Never Was from the timeline. Things were just re-set to how they were at the end of "The End of Time, Part Two."

I think that's just a function of the fact that the Doctor has moved on. He said one last goodbye to her at the end of "The End of Time, Part Two," and seems to have come to the point where, with his new regeneration, he's just ready to let go of that part of his past.

And considering how old the Doctor is, it's probably something he's done hundreds of times by now. I'm sure the man has spent a good portion of his life falling in love with people and then having to let go of them once they left his life.

For the record, I liked "The Doctor's Daughter" as well. Donna was pretty useful and not too annoying and it was nice seeing Martha back in Companion mode. Oh, and Jenny was hot too. :D

The highlight of the episode for me was the interactions between the Doctor, Donna and Jenny. But even if we never see her again, at least we know she's out there, somewhere, flitting around the galaxy on her own adventures.

I know its not temporally possible. But I'd pay good money to see her and Jack hook up. :)

I got the feeling from the way he reacted to her in that final episode of series four that he was a little embarrassed by their relationship. He certainly couldn't drop her and the human Doctor off and get the hell out of there fast enough.

Of course in the real world, blame it all on Moffat. Who doesn't seem too keen on dwelling on the past four years.
