You know, that's actually a common phrase attributed to fans of many sports, but especially association football and when it comes to discussing the final scores. Nothing of note to make fun of, really.I saw this on MSN today after logging out of e-mail and I still can't believe they did it, so I had to make fun of it:

Ha. I love it.
Let's be honest, if that pic had been of an unknown woman and not Sarah Palin you wouldn't have said anything. If it had been of a rival female politician you didn't like, you would have joined in.
This has everything to do with your political stance and not your obvious and overwhelming support for women's equality (like when you said it's fine for women not to get equal pay for performing the same job as a man, for instance).Keeping notes on people? That's kinda icky. I don't care who agrees to trade their time for a certain amount of money. If they accept it that's their business. Not some busybody.
While I agree that the image is mildly sexist in that it reduces a woman to an object of sexual gratification in a way that an equivalent male politician/celebrity would not be, it's not blatantly sexist in the "women are inferior" sense. Nor is it actionable any more than the numerous Obama or Bush or other pics insulting political figures have been except for when they cross the line into full-blown racism or sexism (calling someone inferior for qualities out of their control) or other things that violate the board rules.
You don't recall that thread where TBonz asked the tolerant people of the board to tone done their insulting of Gov Palin? I think this qualifies as going over the line and said something.
There are five people in that image, only two of which are black. Why are you attributing the quote to them?I saw this on MSN today after logging out of e-mail and I still can't believe they did it, so I had to make fun of it:

I don't know, but I hear it tastes like shit.
EDIT: Also, sidious618, I knew there was a reason I liked you.
EDIT #2: Also, sidious618, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
It was also not uncommon to see "We wuz robbed!" in American newspaper headlines about baseball game results during a time when major league baseball in the US was still 100% lily-white and black players were limited to the Negro Leagues. The added arrow and "colorful" caption belie an unfamiliarity with those facts, besides which they just don't make for a very good thread bomb. You know, that's actually a common phrase attributed to fans of many sports, but especially association football and when it comes to discussing the final scores. It's also got nothing to do with the "blk ppl" you describe.
Zion, as usual I don't get it...![]()

Yeah, let's be honest. Absolutely not would I join in if anyone's picture was there, male or female. Don't put your biases on me. But if you want to photoshop TBonz on there go ahead. I'll still notify.
No notes were required, it just stuck with me all by itself. In point of fact, our past disagreements aside, it shocked me at the time to hear you say something like that, especially as a father of daughters. Not that it's that hard to remember the basics of things said less than a year ago.Keeping notes on people? Of course I recall it, without needing to take notes or anything. You don't recall that thread where TBonz asked the tolerant people of the board to tone done their insulting of Gov Palin? I think this qualifies as going over the line and said something.

Did you miss the part where I said it the pic was "crass" in the very same post you quoted? That being said, I don't find the pic actionable, personally.

What I was opposed to was not your being upset with the pic or thinking it crude (I agree), but with your attempt at painting doublohfive as someone who "hates women" because of one pic. There's no history to back that accusation up. If you had just limited your point to expressing disapproval of the picture itself without taking the cheap shot at 005, I wouldn't have cared.
