I quite enjoyed the end of Siege and plan on getting the hardcover in July when it comes out. I especially enjoyed the splash final page of the Avengers line up.
As for DC... the guys in charge there now are obsessed with the Silver Age. Its only a matter of time before you start seeing "Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen" or "Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane" on the shelves...

Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Ollie Queen, and Bruce Wayne are dead.
I swear that I read something before the big shake up at DC Ent that DiDio said that they were thinking about bringing back Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen. Lord knows they've done issues recently focusing on Lois. I would mind if they combined Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen with Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane!!!
It's more like bringing back the Marvel Universe as it was, which would be a good thing. If it's possible for the current crew to do it. Which I have absolutely no confidence in whatsoever.I was leary about the Heroic Age at first. I couldn't get it out of my head that maybe Disney forced this on them. But I have to say, reading more about their plans I like it a lot. It'll be nice to drop the angst and let the heroes be heroes. It's a good thing.
I probably would, too. The great thing about having Marvel and DC in the 60s and early 70s was how different they were. Marvel had the heroes living in something like the real world with some tight continuity and DC was totally off the wall-- I swear those people were on LSD. I always leaned more toward Marvel, but I was disappointed when DC Marvelized itself. There's really not much to compare with what they were; the current audience is too self-conscious to appreciate anything like that.Honestly, I would love to see a Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen series in the style of the Silver Age series. The more absurd, the better. It can be out of continuity, but I would totally be there to pick it up.

However, the moment Beppo the Super-Monkey comes back, I'm out!![]()
