Yes - if it's in your sig, that's fine. There are rules against making actual posts advertising things, but a link in your own sig to your own site is okay.

There's also a way to put it in your profile (User CP > Edit Your Details > Optional Information > Home Page URL) so that someone can click through to your website from the drop-down menu under your username on any post you make.

Karl Urban as McCoy is really growing on me. At first, I didn't feel too strongly about him one way or the other, though I do prefer Deforest Kelley overall. However, having looked at some pictures of Karl standing with the rest of the cast, I suddenly realized just how... big this man is. He always has that masculine, both-feet-planted-firmly-on-ground stance, and his shoulders are so broad. And what can I say? It evokes girlish swooning in me. :D

Deforest seems rather smallish when I watch TOS, and the bad guys don't hesitate to pick on him first. I can't imagine anyone manhandling nu!McCoy like that, though. Dude is massive.

And massively crush-worthy. :) I definitely loved him as Eomer the moment I saw him in LotR, but now I can't wait to see him as McCoy again.

Edited to add: I just read my post over and realized it pretty much says, "I like nuMcCoy now because I realize that his shoulders are broad." Hm. Hi, my name is Tribbles, and I'm apparently 100% shallow...

Not at all, Tribbles. Those of us who swoon over Karl (and you're in good company, trust me) are not shallow. Just discerning. :techman: Welcome to the sister/brotherhood of nuMcCoy!

I just needed to have this picture appear near mine again.
It totally makes me forget my own name.

    Another note:
Since I came into this thread at page 160something, I sometimes pick a past page at random to see what people were talking about.
I saw mention of a thread somewhere in which people were saying the Kirk/Gaila make-out scene was indecent? (Are ya kiddin me?)
Anyone know where that discussion is?

I tried to find it by searching by searching the date people here seemed to be talking about it (which was July 19 I think)... but no luck.

I have no problem with you posting some more of the "Best of Broad Shoulders" shots, ya know.... if you are bored or anything.
(Love the term "Suit Porn" -- so apropos.)

I'm trying to remember who the poster was who was having that argument - it was a woman, but I can't remember her name. I don't think it was in a thread specifically about that, it was in a general discussion thread.

More pictures of broad shoulders... oh, the onerous tasks you ask of me :p

The heffalump is just in my avatars. That's my trampledamage elephant - take a look at my profile for a full picture. :)

When I first came to this board, TD had her heffalump in the corner of a screencap of McCoy looking out the window of the shuttle (when he and Jim are first landing on the Enterprise). One of the first times I saw the movie in a theater (probably the fourth or fifth of my eleventy-thousand viewings), I kept feeling like something was missing or cut off from that scene. I started laughing when I got home and realized I had been unconsciously looking for a pink elephant in the corner!
