Let's see today's purchases:

Fathom Volume 3 TPB -From Amazon
Witchblade Compedium Volume 2 -From Amazon

Got yesterday at Target:

Iron Man 2 War Machine
Iron Man 2 Mark 6 Armor

Breakfast at Starbucks. Tried the huevos rancheros wrap, the black beans were a bit crunchier than I like but otherwise good.

The Ray-Bans I picked:

Very nice. I get kind of a retro "horn rimmed glasses guy" vibe from them but updated with the squared off lens versus a rounded one.

The detailing inside is a nice touch that adds a bit of fun to them.

My latest acquisitions:

P1010399.jpg

(actually a gift from a friend who double dipped the Legendary Halo 3 Set a couple of years ago)

P1010401.jpg

The UNSC Warthog in Mega Blocks.

P1010403.jpg

SSJ3 Son Goku

P1010400.jpg

And War Machine, yay!

I bought a couple of pairs of sneakers/trainers/tennis shoes/whatever the hell they're called these days and some groceries at the weekend.

Yeay Barbie! That'll shut that stupid backhoe up!!!

I picked up a supersize from the 'bay because I don't want to spend the $ on a Tonner only to find I don't really want one that big!

Thanks!

It's about a week now since I got them, and they're definitely more flattering than my last pair. I'm really happy with them.

As for the updated HRG effect, that was exactly the kind of vibe I liked about them. You can also sort of see a Ray Ban family lineage to them. They vaguely echo the classic Ray Ban Clubmaster a bit.

I made the mistake of walking into a bookstore with my youngest child this afternoon. I was pretty good and walked out with just 5 books for the kids and none for me, though I'll admit to having started to read the Horrible Histories: Wales book. I am incapable of walking out of a bookstore without having purchased something.

Galactic North
Revelation Space

I already have (but not read yet..) House of Suns and Chasm City.
