Does your dog give you the pod look when you stop petting him

My dog Jake will grab you with his paw and pull you closer until you pet him some more.

Used to have one that would shove her head under your hand. Than, if you didn't move the hand, after a minute or so, she'd start bobbing her head up and down.

My dog puts his drooly jowls on your lap if you stop petting him. He's an oversized golden retriever so I'm talking about a lot of drool.

I have a friend who has two of those and get the same from one of them. I've also been known to have a cold nose pressed into the nape of my neck when I'm sitting in a couple of spots at his house. The same dog also physically blocks the door when you arrive...

My girlfriend's chihuahua does that. It's like she is telling you "no your hand doesn't belong there it belongs on my head". If you stop feeding her treats she also rubs her paw on your leg to tell you "more please, I haven't had enough".

My dad used to have a female Doberman who would come up and lay her head in your lap while you were sitting, and leave it there until you petted her. That dog was an attention whore.

Our dogs are little tarts. You get close to them and they roll over to get their tummies tickled. Strumpets.

Our beagle is an attention whore too. She'll do the lift-your-hand-with-her-nose thing (like it was blanket or something) and plant it in the right place on her head for you to begin petting procedures. Of course it is funny to make your hand like dead weight just to see how far she takes it.

If that gets her no response (rarely-you just can't resist petting her) she'll put her head in your lap and/or roll over on her back and wiggle around until you give in.

She has us well trained.

Sonnet insists that BOTH hands must be involved. I can be petting her, but if she sees an idle hand, she will put her head down, throw her paws - one at a time - around her head and onto my hand - and pretty much demand its participation in the whole lovin' process. :D

She only does this when I'm already petting her, though. She's fine with one or two petting sessions a day. If she's on my lap and I get tired of petting her, she'll jump down and go find something to play with or a spot to nap. I love that she's so self-reliant. :)
