Have the Klingons ever been accused on racism?

Too many people who don't know what racism is or what its root origin is try to start conversations about the same subject. As a result, cliches and paranoia abound.

Racism is a derivative of the belief of separation when applied on a multi-cultural scale. To answer the question of the Klingon's relation to the topic, any appearance-based relevance should be dismissed.

Cultural relevance in the context of character development is, as appropriate for that civilization's orientation, reflecting a strong belief in cultural isolation and identity. As a result, Klingon culture is a strong example of racism, in that non-Klingon culture and foreign influence would be generally frowned upon at the location of the home world.

I have a problem with folks who can't separate racism-derived violence from racism-derived culture, and automatically assume that anyone who believes in maintaining a cultural identity separate from that of others is an enemy to universal peace.

Klingons are Klingons. It would be a miserable universe if politicians in the United Federation of Planets ruled that Klingons had to start eating salad and wearing neck ties customarily.

Usually it is best to stop trying to look at everything to see if it is racist or is not racist, and instead look at everything to see what the truth of the matter is; and in the case of a TV show, face value is a great way to take it in.
