She sounds extremely vacuous.

And yet she turned in a very good performance and had a place in the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts on the BA Honors degree course, suggesting quite a bit more intelligence than you are giving her credit for.

1) Fuzzy Springfieldgardens would be her porn name

2) Though she's not the punching type, she'd punch a Dalek.
1) like I need any help thinking of a girl who looks like Karen in a sexual manner, still much obliged. Her porn name should live on in Doctor Who Fandom for a while

2) Which begs the question, who would win in a fight between Karen and everyones favourite Dalek Girls

Talking of things that will live on in Doctor Who fandom ;)

and I guess there is only one way to find out ;)

Karen already has a porn name...it's Amy Pond :)

according to this week's Doctor Who Adventures, the scenes with young Amelia take place in April 1996. the bulk of the episode in April 2008 and the final scene where she leaves in June 2010.

All of which makes sense except for Rory's badge.

I loved it. Matt Smith is amazing, and the Tardis looks beautiful. :D :bolian:

I just watched it through again. I have to say that I actually teared up this time at the moment when he leaves young Amy sitting there, and she runs inside and packs her bag and runs downstairs to wait for him. That's easily now one of my highlight moments in all of nu-who.

There's been a strong Scottish element in Who of late. We punch above our weight. Well maybe not me personally, but as a nation.

Looks like the TARDIS travelled in time between missing Big Ben and crashing in Amy's garden then, as otherwise what were The O2 (Millennium Dome), 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) and City Hall, all of which had not been built in 1996, doing in the background?

I thought it was really cute when she sat on the suitcase and propped her elbow on her knee waiting for the doctor

Saw it, enjoyed it, excited for the next one! :bolian:

Didn't take long for Matt Smith to "become" the Doctor in my eyes, though I am curious to see how his personality develops away from Tennant's Doctor - assuming it does.

I love Amy Pond - and it's not just because she's gorgeous, but she's also very confident and self-assured. I'll save my comments on the potential romance for that other thread.

I actually quite enjoyed the Prisoner Zero story. Sure it's not terribly original, and once they got out of the house most of the mystery and creepiness was gone, but it was effective for what it was trying to do. The idea of the monster hiding in a room in Amy's house for these twelve years - and more importantly, hiding just at the corner of your eye - was nicely done. I do hope we get to find out how Prisoner Zero apparently knew what he did about the cracks. Maybe he learned something in between 1996 and 2008 while hiding out?

Well, in fairness, being a highly gifted actress doesn't rule out "vacuous" necessarily - nor for that matter does high intelligence, I've known plenty of very intelligent people that are plenty vacuous.

I agree with you about Miss Gillan, however.

Works for me and is what I figured. :techman:

The badge makes no sense at all. I submit that the prop makers didn't realize it would be examined so closely with the camera, and they populated it with nonsense. The date shown might be the birth date of someone in the art department.

Bah, it's not really fair to judge someone based only on a few answers in an interview, is it?

oh, snap!

that much was obvious when he regenerated on January 1 2005 and Amelia said when she was praying to Santa that it was Easter. he HAD to have time-travelled some where along the line.

Another editing error?

9:15 on Big Ben

Assuming the doctor was still in 2005 and all he did was shoot into space, it would still be midnight 2005 according to Jackie.

Is April 1996 just a random date Moffat used, or does that hold any significance? Hold on, what month in '96 did McGann's movie premiere in? :vulcan:

May 12th in Canada, May 14th in the U.S., and May 27th on BBC One.
